Drestig Avalon
I was hoping either @Zera or @Darrah, Or both! :D

Backdated to 7/24 for timeline reasons

Midday, the sun was shining bright and warm, and there was not the slightest breeze to be felt. Not exactly the perfect day to be a black wolf. Drestig was in his usual fine mood though, as he made his way through the territory, having just crossed the border after a small scouting trip out into the land. A trip that had proved itself worth the effort, as he had come across a little drove of snow shoe hare. The fattest - and slowest - was now dangling from his jaws.

His steps were swift despite the heat, and there was determination yet in his fiery eyes, he was heading for the center of the land, where the old oak that had given the pack its name stood proud, its crown full and green now in the height of summer. When he arrived, he lowered himself down on the lush grass growing in its shade, dropping the bloody prize on the grass before him and licking his lips. His ears twitched as he looked around in the clearing, wondering where the rest of the pack might be on this fine day. Resting his gaze for a while in direction of the den, he pondered whether the puppies were asleep in its cool depths, or perhaps their mother had taken them for a short trip into the forest? Secretly, he hoped neither was the case, the hare was intended for them.

Zera Tainn
I'm sorry for the long wait, I can't believe it's been forever since this was posted. x/3

zera tainn

The young pup stretched onto her small paws with the fragile first steps of morning. She could feel the difference in the den's temperature, already the mugginess crept in to stay. It was much different than the world she'd been born into a few weeks prior, as the sun felt the need to push away the clouds. Zera was always inclined to the sky, ready to watch the fuzzy clouds froth in the waves of wind. Every morning, a primal part of her gravitated to the den's opening, and even at this incredible youth, the colors sang to her.

It wasn't that the sky matched her eyes, or that the clouds were just as ambitious as she. With the surface nature of her puppy knowledge, she couldn't possibly read more into the colors than what was already there. But some part of it was mysterious. Somehow the personality behind each sky was able to bleed into her, make her feel.

Her wandering heart headed out of the den, eyes first, already entranced by the magnificent, sifting sunlight. Sometimes if she stared for too long, she'd find herself out too far in the tall grass, amidst the undertow of distant winds and deep vales, forged by the depressions of hills. Too many times had Zera wandered out from the sight of her mother, and growing up was likely too fast. The Tainn wasn't ruthless, or careless even - just driven by the wildness of her world.

And she'd wandered far again, luckily in the right direction this time. She caught the strong scent of blood, and instantly reciprocated back to her rooting instincts. The rusty carcass was bound to yield predictors, conceive danger. But something else smelled in the wind too, and the callused-tree fragrance whispered home into her lungs. She loosened her small body, the mere poof of black. Zera peeked over the swaying strands, timidly nonetheless, to find the tall pillars of Drestig, her father's near twin.

"Hey," she near-shouted to the dark-furred man, beginning to make the few bounding leaps to close the distance. Zera was immediately engrossed in his drizzling offer, since the scent of the kill was so irresistible.

Darrah Tainn
I'm so sorry this took so long!! I haven't been as active as I'd lie to be recently. :(!!!!

Darrah's eyes squinted open to the brightest of sunlight peering through the den. What was this? Had he really woken up later than his sister again?? Unacceptable. How did she always manage to do this? Or maybe it was his fault. Maybe he just slept in to late far to often. Either way he had to hop up right this instant if he wanted any chance of finding her. The pup yawned and took a moment to stretch before managing to stand up. "Zera..". he scowled.

Once exiting the den, he began to sniff for the trail of his sister. Moments later it was caught and he continued on. The act of finding her path was never hard, It was finding her that always seemed to be tricky.. So he wasn't quite excited yet. The lad passed by familiar tree's, familiar rocks, and familiar faces.. though none of them belonging to his sister. He sighed. "Always. Why? Why does she always.. ALWAYS do this..." The sun danced around on his fur, causing him to grow hotter, causing him to grow even more irritable. If he didn't find his sister soon, she would be in for a world of trouble. Darrah wasn't very kind at all when he got annoyed, especially not to her.

The Tainn boy's hostile thoughts got cut short when the smell of blood lingered through his nostrils. The smell of blood, and an even stronger scent of his sister. His heart dropped, he raced forward as fast as he's ever gone.. Only to find her hanging around Drestig and some sort of dead animal. "What.. Just happened to me.." he slumped down in relief, not even giving them a second glace.

Ieeh, that is quite alright, I'm just happy to thread with you :)

As the wind shifted in the leaves above, the dark man's thoughts wandered freely, speculating on where the rest of his pack mates might be hiding; They should be out enjoying the sun! Of course, many of them were dressed in the same black coat as him, making longer stays in the sun's rays enervating. Lifting his snout a bit, the lad lazily sniffed at the air, feeling the familiar scents of Oak Tree Bend sink into him, settling any unrest left in his muscles after the hunt. He felt safe here, happy.

The rustle of something moving in the grass drew the Avalon's attention, and his eyes, which had been half closed, opened wide as he looked down the small slope. Their orange depths lit up as he quickly spotted the source of the noise, a small, soot colored silhouette gazing up from between the green blades. As their eyes locked, she exclaimed a confident greeting, and a wide smile illuminated the older wolf's face; "Princess!" He answered her, chuckling as she wasted no time in digging into his gift, her ferocity making his eyes sparkle. The young Tainn was a brave and bright girl, and the way she took on the world, without restraint or worriment, filled the ebony male with adoration.

Soon after Zera's emergence followed another swish in the grass, and Drestig was quick to turn towards it, body still relaxed, but ears perked in attention; ready to protect. There was no need though, as the sound came from another welcome arrival. The man's smile returned in full brightness; "And the young prince as well! How blessed I am today." He waved an ear at Darrah, who meanwhile seemed to have his attention on other matters. Wrinkling his brows lightly, the adult motioned to stand, glancing swiftly down at the girl before turning his attention back to her brother; "You okay there sport?"
