Magg had never been in so much pain in her life, including after the fall when she'd been alone. Her best was done not to let it show, but the distance wore her down over time, no matter how slowly they took things. For days her eyes had streamed silent tears, and then it was like she'd run out. She shook like a leaf, she couldn't bring herself to speak or make sounds, and her vision stuttered and spotted. Still she pushed on, until at long last, she scented her parents.

The moment she knew she was home, Magg's world went black, and she collapsed into Galen's side as dead weight.

The journey up the mountain with Magg and Ally had been grueling and slow, his muscles screaming at him from the strain he put on them not only to scale the harsh incline but also support the weight of Magg at the pace she chose to eliminate as much weight put on her damaged leg as possible. To little avail. Galen had noticed the streams of tears with every step, his gut twisting with the knowledge that there was truly nothing he could do to make it go away aside from try to get them home as soon as possible.

Words couldn't describe the immense relief that washed over him once the familiar scent of the Cove began to fill his sense of smell, clearly having a more powerful effect over his tawny friend as her body thrust her entire dead weight into his swarthy side. Passed out from the pain no doubt. Immediately an urgent call was released before a glance was given to Ally to ensure she was doing alright, motion ahead drawing Galen's attention to the approach of a shadowy figure that immediately drew tears uncommon for the boy to his eyes. "Nash..help.."
Character name: Ally Vuesains
In Lore since birth

The trip up the mountain was as long and terrible as Ally had expected it to be. Harder, actually, since Magg struggled so hard with it. Ally watched her drag her leg behind her and wanted to help but didn't know how, other than trying to push aside some of the snow when she could, or bringing her what scraps of food she could scavenge. Galen took most of the weight and Ally truly felt useless. Maybe she should have stayed in Paradise Falls...

But knowing she had and uncle and an aunt and they were going up to where her grandma was, and that her dad might look for her there... she had to go. She missed her dad terribly, and she couldn't help but burn with curiosity about this family her dad had never told her about.

When they arrived and Magg dropped Ally jumped back in surprise, then stared at Galen with wide terrified eyes - until a large form approached them at speed and Ally dropped to her belly to make herself as small as possible.
He was still pleased about having Leo back, and Aquene agreeing to wait a little longer to visit the Backwater, and he was even more pleased to hear Galen calling, the wandering soul who had been gone so long. Only, his tone had Nash's joy turning to fear and he ran towards the voice. He saw the boy - and his daughter lying on the ground. Without hesitating he called to Aquene and looked to Galen and the pup with them. "Come," he said to the pair, and then only to Galen, "Help me get her to the den." he knew the boy was exhausted but it was nearing evening and Nash had spent the day stretching his hip. He gently gripped Magg by the scruff and nodded for Galen to take her hips and began carrying her the best he could back to safety.
