Happy Halloween month, everybody! Staff are once again feeling pretty ~spooky~ and wanted to spread the love to all of our members here at RoW! There are multiple ways to participate and earn yourself some sweet LP boosts throughout October.Trick 'r Treat
Each character can claim one surprise, Halloween-themed Random Event by using the code below to pick a Trick 'r Treat bag. Threads completed using these prompts can earn your wolf 15 Life Points! Pumpkin Picking
Hidden around the site are 9 pumpkins that look just like this one
, ripe for the picking! When you find one, hover over it to see a letter. Collecting every letter will allow you to unscramble a secret word that you can then send into Spirit of Wildwood via PM. Submitting the correct answer before November 1st EST will earn one character of your choice 5 Life Points for being a Master Pumpkin Hunter!Please note, it is a good idea to double check where your letters are coming from as sometimes the same text appears multiple times on the site from the same code. For example there are multiple ways of getting to certain library articles, territory descriptions, gossip wall, calendar etc. The letter only counts once from each location, even if you found it in multiple different ways.
SoW Drops
To top it all off, the Spirit of Wildwood itself will be dropping horror-themed prompts throughout the month in the form of posted thread-starters. These are eligible for 15 Random Event Life Points, but only if they're grabbed up before November 1st EST! Once October ends, any lonely Drops will be archived.Loner Docks
Last but not least, this is your official reminder that Loner Docks will be returning on November 1st! A small change from previous years, rather than wolves receiving docks every two weeks, docks will only be run once a month. Any wolves who are not in a pack nor the focus of an active Join thread will lose, or be docked, 5 Life Points on the first of every month from November to March (the final check running March 1st).Characters who hit negative LP should be considered to be struggling severely to survive, and will receive a warning from staff alerting them that their character is in the negatives and what steps can be taken to prevent dropping lower. Once a character is at -10 LP they will be considered deceased. Wolves who are members of active packs or who have an active Join thread (OOC Joins included) will not be docked any Life Points.
