Random Event/Possible Sub-Territory Discovery?: Chan, flower petals drift toward you on a cool breeze. Where did they come from?
Chan was staying busy these days. In a way, it felt good, keeping his mind just as occupied as his paws with the plethora of work to be done. You couldn't run from yourself forever, however, and his anxieties were beginning to catch up with him once more. Finally, he decided to take some time for himself, striking East toward a very particular spot as dawn began to break over the distant horizon.
His paws welcomed the warmth of the sandy earth that encircled the hot springs, but the rest of him didn't find much comfort. The two most prominent memories of times he was last here stood in stark opposition to each other within his head. Chan felt like he understood what had happened, and normally, that was all he needed to accept and move on from something. So why did this seem to just keep burrowing deeper inside of him? It wasn't going away, so maybe there was something left to face.
He walked the rims of each steaming pool slowly, eyes glazed as he lost himself in thought, recalling the moments with Lila that seemed so long ago now; the day she'd first come to see them all, the day where just yards from where he walked, he'd managed to flip their friendship on its head, the last time he'd woken up and she was still there, sound asleep... when he'd come back, she was gone. Every day there after, bit by bit, he felt more... empty.
A pastel petal drifted past his muzzle, catching his gaze and bringing him back to the world. His brow furrowed as he noticed others, a small group twirling and bobbing on the wind.
"Where... ?" he asked under breath; there weren't any plants or trees nearby, much less ones that bloomed. Right? He had mired too long in what couldn't be fixed, and so welcomed the distraction. Moving against the wind, he began the search for their source.
