Archer Valle

Archer liked to pace the borders, and sometimes even venture beyond them, in the hopes of finding his brother or ma waiting there. His fear of the monster who killed Inger was fading, replaced by anger. Reyjiek already knew where they were - where the pups were - and nothing Archer did was going to change that. He hoped Llinnea had made it, had found somewhere she could be safe where her father couldn't get to her.

He had yet to find anything anyway.

With a heavy sigh Archer turned to make his way back into the territory. Maybe he could find one of his sisters and take them hunting for the day - direct some of their energy. He called out as he approached the pack den, hoping one of them was nearby.

Isla's energy really only ever went into being...violent, these days. A lot of her focus had switched from learning from her immediate family, to learning from Uncle @Rochus who seemed a whole lot wiser than everybody else. Which left her with a soft snort of amusement. Why wasn't he an advisor, huh?

Anyway.

Archer could find her sprawled at the mouth of the den. Attempting to soak up any sliver of sun there might be through the clouds. Eyelids a bit heavy, but one cracked open. Heard the steps that seemed to approach. Had dad sent him? Seemed most likely.

What? She grumbled a bit tired.

He was pleased to find at least one of his sisters at the den, sprawled out in the rare winter sun. He smiled at Isla. "Good afternoon, Princess," he said. "I'm heading out for a hunt; would you like to come with me?" He would be surprised if she said no, given how little this year's pups got to go out. If she did, however, he would offer an alternative activity - something to spend time together. He was a bad brother for being here and not spending time with them more. He desperately wanted to change that.

It was a lovely day; perhaps she had the right of it, sitting in the sun and enjoying it for now. He hoped the upcoming summer was milder and they could all enjoy it more, the way he and Eros had their first year. He could teach his sisters how to fish, like Da had taught him, even if Eros wanted nothing to do with it. But he was getting ahead of himself.

No, she wouldn't, duh.

Sure, She grumbled tiredly. Lazily she drew herself up to a standing position. What're you hunting? Surely he had not gathered her up without a trail in mind, right? He had already stated he was off on a hunt.

Maybe it would be something easy. Better yet! Maybe it would be something difficult and she beg to sit on the sidelines while he so generously taught her the best methods! Even if her creeping older age made it harder and harder to let that excuse slide so much.

Whatever, she had no intentions of doing the hard work today either way.
