Aponi Donata
@Phineas
I couldn't help myself xD Here she is
March 3rd, Noon, Freezing Fog -7F/-21C

The Aquila woman had escaped the hell-hole that had trapped her for over a month and she sworn to never return to the god-forsaken ravine. She had followed that strange being out, though she realized now that they had taken the long way instead of just climbing the steep wall. Quickly after recognizing her surroundings she had decided to leave her travelling companion behind, slipping away in the middle of the night without a word.  Since leaving @Samhain behind Aponi had been travelling southward along the mountain range, not really sure what she was looking for. The old Keep territory had been fruitless of clues and she wasn't even sure where @Karpos' pack resided to see if he had better luck.

So she walked, half hoping to run into another wolf who might know something and half hoping she would run into the dark yearling. Something strange had come upon her in the warmer weather and for a reason she couldn't explain she craved male companionship. It was odd for her as she rarely trusted males but she found herself dreaming of the Slayer boy at her side and waking up disappointed when he wasn't.

It was in this state of unknowing that she stumbled upon a familiar scent which stopped the silver yearling in her tracks. Phineas. The older man had never shown her much interest, at least in the way she had craved him too but had always been respectful and was trustworthy. What was more, she had promised him her loyalty and that she would return. It would seem that she had done just that, even if it was accidently.  Without a moment of hesitation she lifted her muzzle to the sky and called for the white brute. Lowering her maw the confusing desire stirred in the pit of her belly, excitement danced through her and the girl felt suddenly anxious. What was happening to her?

Phineas Argyris
Oh no!

The Argyris man could have had a stolen moment of peace in his life – the day the she-wolves had battled for top, he could have not bothered enticing such antics, and instead, lured Seraphina to rise as he had initially desired. Aesire had taken the crown, and while he respected the she-wolf for the strong leader he knew she could be.. her presence was lackluster within the terrain – her and Ace seemed to become more secluded, and the regal knew what was happening – the leading lady of the pack had sought out his second, and while he did not desire him for herself.. he suddenly found himself distrusting of them both.

Almost to the point where he debated if he should simply eradicate the problem – and the potential of his own children’s eventual rise to leadership as he had so believed the Plateau would bring. Instead, the spring would likely introduce a litter not of Argyris blood, and one that no doubt when he was gone, Aesire would believe as the true heirs to the pack.

The thought unsettled him – Celandine, out of all of his children, seemed to be the one who would rise above them all. But she would need to earn it.. to win her place only as nature would dictate in a display of dominance and wits. But would Aesire allow her even that chance?

A familiar cry echoed across the mountain – one that beckoned him forward, grateful for the interruption of his darker thoughts. His paws swiftly lead him to the area, though it was likely moments had passed. Yet he was rewarded with the sight of Aponi – the yearling who he could have considered as close as his own daughters, had she not left. He stopped a distance away, not daring to strive closer as his senses began to hum with the promise of spring. Did you find what you were looking for?

It didn't take long, it seemed like only moments before the air stirred with the scent of the approaching alpha and his white form came into sight. Instantly the silver legs collapsed beneath her so her body was lowered in respect and the icy eyes focused on the cream paws. Still a smile graced her maw, "Phineas," the word was like a breath as her heart quickened. The sight of his strong legs created an unwavering desire to press her side against his form, it was tempting her, but tempting her to what? Digging her dull claws into the ground as if to hold her in place the yearling blinked at his next words her gaze dropping farther.

It took her a moment before Aponi could force the words out, the fae opened her maw a couple of times silently as if it would cause the syllables to tumble out on their own.  Finally she focused all of her attention and energy back on the legs of the man before her and she murmured, "He's dead and the pack is gone. There's nothing I could do." The girl craved to be comforted but she was too proud to say it out loud, she always had been. It was in her nature to hide her insecurities and pain in anger and a cold exterior but now was when she needed comfort the most.  Even as she said that her father was dead out loud she had a picture in her head of Phineas moving forward to embrace her, offer her the physical contact and comfort she had been denied as a child.

Aponi wasn't a fool, she had noticed the physical and emotional changes but she didn't have the education to know what it all meant. Pride prevented her from asking or admitting that something might be wrong so instead she allowed them to occur. The fantasies in her head were just that, fantasies, but she was too naive to realize they might have consequences. Still, she knew not to deny her desires and should Phineas accept her back into the pack there was nothing to say that she might try to act on them. She had made her move and now the male would have to make his, the game they were playing had just begun.

Phineas Argyris

He had not expected such an answer – Aponi had been sure that her swarthy sibling had been lying on that day, and so he had simply put it in his mind to agree. He knew nothing of her littermate’s persona – and in truth, he knew nothing of Aponi’s, either, nor the thoughts that shook her very core now.

He took her grip of claw to the earth as grieving – the hesitance in her voice, as if she could not believe the news herself. Her fantasy would come to light when Phineas made to quickly close the distance between them, his large figure moving forward as his eyes softened upon her, his muzzle swinging down to trace the top of her head in affection. I’m sorry, he offered, his tone a gentle rumble as he made to curl his form against her – a wolf hug, as if he could lessen her pain with this form of consolation.

It was only then as his body pressed to hers did he note the lingering scent that was so new upon her – and while he withheld a cringe, he did linger for only a moment before pulling away, attempting to hide his sudden nervousness at their proximity. What will you do now? Aponi was his eldest daughter’s age – Hypatia too would have likely come in to her first heat, unless @Aesire was maintaining an intimidation on the current females of the pack that reached of age.

Aponi, in her travels, had not been scared in such a matter, it would seem.

Suddenly he was there, embracing her as she had hoped he would. Aponi leaned into the warmth of the pale fur, raising her head to press it against the bottom of Phineas' muzzle. A tingle ran down her spine starting from where their bodies touched and a satisfied growl rumbled in her throat. Instinctively her silver tail swished behind her, stirring the air around them and filling it with her scent. Pink tongue lapped at the chin of the mail above her, both in submission and sudden yearning though she didn't understand what she was craving.

It didn't matter though, because the man had much more experience than she and the new adult trusted him fully. Suddenly though the warmth and comfort of his touch was gone and Phineas returned to his place a few steps away. Dropping her gaze again at his words Aponi took a tentative step forward, "Will you... will you take me back? Phineas will you let me come home, let me come back to you?" Blue eyes flickered upwards with hope as she stepped forward once more.

Hormones flooded the fae in ways that were foreign to her, causing her heart to thump and her blood to feel like fire in her veins. When her eyes glanced upwards again there was longing in her gaze when she took in the form of the Argyris brute. Once more her tail flicked sideways behind her, an unspoken invitation of sorts as the icy eyes egged him on silently. Once upon a time she had dreamed of calling the man her equal and she his, but now she wanted to feel his dominance, at least for now.

Phineas Argyris

It was a dangerous game she played – and he wasn’t entirely sure she understood this. Almost instinctively, she thrashed her tail through the air, releasing her enticing scent for others to pick up on. In truth, he was surprised Aesire was not upon them yet – to enforce her lead position. Surely she had maintained check of Hypatia’s own oncoming heat – something Phineas did not wish to even think about. It seemed a foreign concept to him that his first born daughter was now at a prime age to take a mate.

His thoughts would only darken if he considered her closeness to that @Sceral boy.

His ears quirked forward at the silver female’s crooning plea, feeling a twitch at the corner of his lip as he refrained from moving forward once more. He was three times her age and had no business even showing any form of interest – especially when she was the exact same age as his daughter. The Plateau welcomes you back with open arms, he confirmed, his fiery eyes sweeping over her. Whether Aesire would agree or not had yet to be seen – but he was finding with the lead female’s own inability to inform him of any matters, he felt less need to do the same for her. At this very moment, she was likely busy with one of the few men at Silent Moon Plateau – potentially even crooning words of encouragement at overthrowing his position and leading beside her as a mate.

It was the natural way of the wolf – to lead beside ones mate.

I’ll allow you to rest, he offered then, withholding from breathing in too deeply, lest his determination of keeping the willowy female at bay fall through. If you need anything, find me – or seek out @Hypatia . Even after the words slipped form his muzzle, he found his ivory paws rooted to the spot.. unwilling to leave her.

It was instant relief when Phineas welcomed her back....with open arms.  She would once more be with the male that she trusted above all others, and perhaps in time once she regained her strength she could begin the journey to rule by his side. With that kind of power she would be able to revenge her father's murder with ease, but those thoughts were on the backburner of her mind. The silver body surged forward as he accepted her among them once more and without a thought Aponi moved to press against the male once more. It was a careless and even reckless move that's only purpose was to bring them into contact once more, to close the gap between them.

The Aquila girl was overly eager to carry his scent on her fur again, she wanted to run her flanks all around the man until she was doused in the smell of him. Once more she growled contently as she attempted to press her warm side against his, yearning for his body pressed to hers. When he offered to let her rest she ignored that she should look for his daughter, they had never bonded and at meetings their lack of relationship had been tense at best. Instead the blue eyes looked to the pale maw hopefully, "Will you rest with me? I've missed your company." There were glints of attempted seduction in her orbs as she looked upon the much older man and it was clear her words had double meaning. She had missed his company yes, but she found herself once more suffering from the longing for her to be his equal and for him to look on her as he once had on Borilla.

Phineas Argyris

Phineas had never before seen Aponi's original intents upon him -- but it was hard to miss as her bright eyes looked to him now, the words she spoke holding clear meaning of what she truly wanted. He put the reasoning to pure instinct and the season alone -- surely, reason had nothing to do with this, for he was old enough to be her father.

For the sake of his children, and even for his pack, it would be in his better interest to turn away from her then -- to peel himself away from the mesh of her silver fur gliding along his.. the warmth of her skin pressed in to his. With her manoeuvres, the clear scent of her overcame him, and his large form stiffened greatly, feeling hi slip twitch in response. He could easily lose himself in her during this stolen moment -- one act might not even leave her with pups, and no one would be the wiser.

Hypatia would have been disappointed in him -- had he not already let her down enough in her short life? Evy, Celandine and Takis as well would not know how to take such actions -- nor was it at all fair to Aponi, who would likely be mortified once her instincts subdued.

A better man would have walked away -- but the Argyris man was weak before her. Giving a reluctant nod, he winced inwardly as his muzzle came down to nudge her cheek affectionately.. refraining himself. Only until you fall asleep, he offered, firmly telling himself that it was only to make sure that none of the other males of the pack came upon her in this state and truly ruined her life.

Feel free to pp them going off together and archive! Also let me know (depending on Phin's next post) whether they should be put in the breeding sign up

Aponi felt the way that Phineas stiffened when their bodies connected. It only further implanted in her head that he felt what she felt, he wanted her as she wanted him. The far couldn't help the low rumble that began in her throat, this whole encounter had just been so satisfying, she wasn't ready for it to end. The blue eyes watched as first the lip curled and then he gave in to her, agreeing to come and "rest" with her.

Smiling slyly Aponi's red sparkled with longing and temptation once more. Bowing the front of her body playfully she purred back, "lead the way my king, though I do hope we will be doing more than just sleeping, I have missed you so." The terms of missing someone still felt strange in her mouth, it wasn't something she allowed herself to feel very often. Even less did she allow herself to say it out loud, it had always led to disappointment in the past. It sounded cliche but in the Aquila girl's life, people did always leave. Standing up slowly she prepares herself to follow the male before her, off to rest or perhaps not rest.

The yearling was too inexperienced to know the consequences of her actions. Her mother and father had never explained to her where puppies came from or what happened to female wolves when they turned two. She had asked Mapplethorpe about it once but he had said he would explain when she was older, too bad they had never gotten the chance.

Phineas Argyris

They begun to weave a path towards a place to rest -- a place, he told himself, that would keep her away from the other males of the pack. It was her words that stirred him to pause momentarily, and sweeping a fiery gaze over her, he almost turned tail to leave.. away from this very poisonous moment that could very well derail his family, and even his pack.

But he did not. Phineas Argyris was far too weak a man, it would seem, and he told himself that one stolen night without thought would lend to nothing -- no consequences would truly come of it. Borlla and he would stay away from others for days to entwine with one another's company and create the life they had. Nothing would come of this, and surely, Aponi would come to her senses in but a few days.

As they slipped away farther from the others, his eyes would linger over her, intoxicated by her scent and beauty. Of course, stolen moments in his mind would lead to Seraphina -- the she-wolf he would have wanted to spend this season with.. and had she not proven to be completely disloyal to her word, perhaps something might have sparked between the two. Now, with her scent long faded from the Plateau lands, he found himself hardened to the fact once more that loyalty was a rare thing indeed -- Aponi, at least, had come home to her pack.

If only the patriarch of the Argyris line was a stronger man.
