Year 8 in Relic Lore has been just as drama-packed as all the previous years before it. Below are just a few of the highlights of the past year's plots.

• Grizzly Hollow disbands soon after the death of Veho's daughter, Ophelia.
• After a confrontation with Jessie in Wild Rye Fields, Askan and Reyes decide to form Shallows Edge, the first pack to be led by two same-sex leaders.
• Secret Woodlands disbands after Miccah Athesila passes away and his mate Aideen elects to leave Relic Lore for good.
• Drestig, the alpha of Wild Rye Fields, dies weeks after he is wounded during a joint hunt with Hearthwood River.
• Lachesis and Lilya make the decision to move Hearthwood River to Driftwood Surge after the death of Kisla Baranski.
• After their children go missing Emrys and Jynx make the choice to disband White Fir Notch.
• After leaving Fallen Tree Cove to search for her missing children Namid returns with news that she is ill. The long time Matriarch passes only months after returning.
• Charred Ash Draw founders Triell and Naira Tainn both go missing over the course of several months. Their daughter Treyah steps up to lead, and continues to send out loyal scout Garmir to search for her father. Male leadership switches from Kerberos to Draven after Treyah takes Draven as a mate.
• Morganna and Renier return to Relic Lore and travel to Quaking Vale to find Niles and his mate, Castel, who is gravely ill. When Castel passes before the Spring thaw, Morganna talks Niles into uprooting himself and they move to the west.
• Pookastone Scowle is founded by Archer siblings Morganna and Niles in the Lagoon, relocating from Quaking Vale.
• Clearwater Tarn is founded after the fall of Whitestone Monadnock, their Leader Wraith succumbing to a dire hunting injury. Led by Wraith's mate Piety, they move to the south to start anew.
• A rift is formed between familial packs Willow Ridge and Aurora Heights after Revon goes missing and is suspected of being kidnapped. During her return, kidnapper Wendigo is pushed from the mountain by Greer, succumbing to his wounds.
• Sahalie and Kino return to Relic Lore to discover that Quaking Vale no longer exists. After stopping by Oak Tree Bend, they travel to Charred Ash Draw to keep looking for the pack's remains and their adopted son Lauraceae.
• Oak Tree Bend remains isolated and struggles to return to its former glory. A chance encounter with childhood friend Karpos results in Aponi cheating on Serach, further increasing tension inside the pack.
• Aytigin and Nalda are both thrown out of their packs, Driftwood Surge and Oak Tree Bend, after breaking pack law during breeding season.
• Nineva Hervok, along with her consort Elias and half-brother Yuka, establishes Vigils Keep in the northeast part of Relic Lore. Their proximity has caused tension with their neighbors in Driftwood.
• An influx of particularly aggressive and bold coyotes has plagued Relic Lore, putting pressure on the packs and making life even more dangerous for lone wolves.
