Shallows Edge was founded in November 2017 by its alphas, Askan and Reyes, and a handful of hardy wolves: Sachiel, Hawthorne, Remington, Phoenix, and Cottongrass.  Despite this, the pack has already had its fair share of drama. Mere weeks after it’s creation, one of its founding members, Cottongrass, wandered off and was never seen again. Life went on in the Shallows as the winter grew cold and harsh. (Much to Reyes’ utter dismay.)  The Shallows provided a decent place to winter, and they were joined by Pietro and Cancer.  Having an aspiring healer and a capable hunter were both boons, but peace never did last forever.

Alliances were formed with Oak Tree Bend and Driftwood Surge.  The latter was a given -- the bromance between Askan and Lachesis, one of the Surge alphas -- was that of legends, but Askan proved himself to be surprisingly tactful, when the mood suited him.  (Unfortunately, that was not that often.)

Askan adopted the coming yearlings, Sachiel and Hawthorne, as official Selwyns.  Springtime also brought three new pack members, Idris, Kieron, and Risaela.  The latter had left her home in Driftwood and despite the drama her appearance had caused for Askan and Reyes in Wild Rye Fields (not intentionally, but drama all the same), she was allowed in.  Risaela and Cancer became quick friends.  The duo was quite close, despite judgment from the other yearling pair, and perhaps it was this intense closeness that led them to leave after a falling out with Askan in the wake of a coyote skirmish.

The coyotes continue to linger well into the summer, which seems to have inspired Reyes’ younger sister, Marisol, to join the pack as well.  She’s largely kept to herself, but the pack has warded off the coyotes from their immediate borders for now.

Not long after, Hawthorne meets Elias, a member of Vigils Keep, during a scouting trip by the lake. Having never heard of this pack before she is quick to inform her superiors of the recently formed pack. Will Shallows Edge get along with their new neighbors, or is the worst yet to come?
