Lorcán Artemieva
The father had just about had enough with his daughter’s constant back chat. As he caught sight of Lachesis approaching them, Lorcan done his best to ignore @Oksana in the hope that it would encourage her to keep quiet. It didn’t and when the dark pup dared to raise her voice towards him in front of her leader, Lorcan decided to take immediate action. The father had never had to put her in her place so harshly before but this time it seemed entirely warranted.

The whine that pushed past her clamped lips was an indication that she felt uncomfortable, for his grip was not tight enough to actually draw blood and hurt her. After a long pause the father released his grip and focused back on Lachesis, flashing him an apologetic look.

The news of Whitestone and Wraith’s untimely death seemed to devastate the pale leader almost as much as it had Lorcan himself. The agouti male’s own brows mirrored the expression that was now visible on @Lachesis and he gave the leader a small nod in understanding after he was thanked. Russet ears then pricked up as a question was posed to him, but before Lorcan could answer, he felt something press against leg which caused him to look back towards his daughter.

Golden eyes met her deep orange gaze and held it for a heartbeat, his grieving expression faltering for a moment to show something more akin to guilt. He blinked and flicked his tail behind him dismissively before returning his attention to Lachesis, his ears now pressed back uncomfortably against his head. “I don’t have a solid plan yet but I’ve heard word that Morganna has returned, so I’m hoping to track her down before the snow gets too bad…” He admitted. He didn't dare mention his plan to also track down Piety. He could only imagine what would happen if Inna were to find out.

Oksana Baranski

Her father had never done anything like grab her muzzle before, Oksana didn't really know what to think or how to react. So she just stayed still a ehinr leaving her before he finally let go. She knew she was wrong to speak to him as she had a but what was she supposed to do? The pup was only moments from losing her father forever, it was the last thing she wanted. She felt like she needed to fight hard so that he knew she wanted him in her life.

She was quiet as he spoke of the news they had learned when she found him at Whitestone. When she wanted to speak she tried to politely let her father know by putting her paw on his leg. She had a question because she was worried about Cyril, would he be okay? She remembered how she had felt when she had found out about her grandmum and how sad her mum had been. Cyril had been so upset when she had last seen him and even though he wasn't very nice to her that didn't mean she wouldn't worry about him. Her father looked at her though, that was all he did.

The pups ears flattened against her head as things started to come together in her mind. She took her paw off Lorcans leg as the pieces started to fit together. The way he had been in such a hurry to get her back to Hearthwood and how he didn't even want to give her or her mother a chance. The times he had left, all of it left her wondering if he even wanted to he her father. Did he want a daughter anymore? She felt foolish for even going after him now that he had made it white clear he didn't want to hear anymore from her, did he even care about her?

The pup looked up at her father as he spoke about his plan a tear slipping down her check. Then she nodded to herself. Maybe it was better she stayed in Hearthwood and not because it was safe, because her father wanted to forget about her and her mother. Oksana rose to her paws and with her head down and tail hanging limply behind her she crossed the border to Lachesis side. Then she pressed her dark face into his pale fur.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark

This was not like the first time Lorcán had disappeared—where he had a legitimate excuse for his absence. This time the tawny healer had made the choice to leave, without speaking to either his baby mama or his leader about the thoughts that plagued his mind. XIX understood why he had gone off on his own, but he could not make an exception for the yellow-eyed male. What kind of example would that set of the rest of his subordinates? He already had a problem with wandering paws, he could not accept Lorcán back into the ranks so willingly. It would show the others that they could do as they pleased without getting punished, and Lachesis wouldn’t stand for that. Even if the tawny male had been loyal and hardworking. It still didn’t mean he would leave a third time. Especially since the relationship between him and Inna was now nonexistent.

Morganna. It was not a name he had heard in quite some time. The mighty queen of the north had returned to the lands of Lore, but this time she was held up in the south. Lachesis couldn’t help but wonder if the silver spider accompanied her, as well, for he had disappeared when Morganna had fled the lowlands. He nodded softly. I hope you find her, he responded, his words holding nothing but genuine honesty, and I wish you the best of luck. Oksana had shuffled over to the gangly cloud, her face pressed against his alabaster fur. There was nothing she could do to make her father stay—not if Lachesis and Lorcán didn’t want it.

wrap this up in the next posts? :B sorry for the wait! @Lorcan @Oksana

Lorcán Artemieva
Lorcan understood the reason why he was not permitted to return to Hearthwood River. He had broken pack law one too many times by leaving without word and, as both @Lachesis and @Inna had explained to him numerous times before, the pack was no longer prepared to let wolves like him comes and go as they pleased.

If circumstances had been different, the agouti male may have regretted his decision to wander off two months ago, but as things stood now he considered that perhaps it had been for the best – his relationship with Inna was not what it once was, and after everything that had happened over the last year, he wasn’t too sure if Hearthwood ever really was his home. He had joined the river pack out of necessity, to face up to the consequences of his actions and support Inna with raising @Oksana – although, according to Inna, he had failed at that. He was a lousy lover and a disappointment of a father.

Nothing he ever did was good enough for them.

“Thank you, Lachesis.” He replied, giving a shrug of his shoulders and a defeated sigh as he watched his daughter shuffle over to the leader and bury her face in his alabaster fur, clearly upset. Lorcan’s pale brows furrowed and the corners of his mouth pulled downwards into a glum expression. Oksana was mad at him and obviously wanted nothing more to do with him right then. The father’s heart sunk. He had tried his best to make her understand, but like her mother, she was too wrapped up in her own wants and needs to see things from his perspective.

Leaving would be the best for everyone, even if she couldn’t see it yet.

Lorcan quietly stepped over to her. “Be good for your mother and uncle Lach, Sana.” He said, flashing a look to Lachesis as if to warn him. Moving closer, the father then placed a single kiss on her forehead, even with her face still buried in Lachesis’s fur. “I love you.” He whispered as he pulled away, not caring if his daughter believed him then or not, before he finally stepped back and offered the pale leader a polite dip of his head in farewell.

Oksana Baranski
@Lachesis feel free to pp him taking her with him.

Her father was leaving and Oksana had fine to the conclusion that he didn't care to hear anything her mother or her had to say. He didn't want to work things out he just wanted to go. That much was clear as he had ignored everything she had tried to tell him and what her mother had said before Ayti showed up and ruined everything.

Resigning to that fact Oksana had stopped trying and gone to Lachesis as she tried to keep the tears from falling. She was unsuccessful as they started when she buried her face in his fur. How could she not be upset? Her father didn't want to he her father anymore. So many questions and emotions the little Crow didn't know what to do with it all.

Then her father was talking to her telling her to be good for Lach and her mum, she wanted to say something along the lines of, 'Like you care,’ but she remained silent. She wanted to pull away when he kissed her forehead but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Most of all she wanted to hurt him like he was hurting her and her mum.

And then when he said that he loved her she finally did look at him and at the risk of being disciplined again she asked the question that was in her mind most. “Do you really?”

Then he was gone and she was sure she would never see him again.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark

If things had been different Lachesis would have accepted Lorcán into the river ranks without hesitation. But Inna remained, and as long as she remained part of Hearthwood the tawny healer could not. That much was obvious, as the two could hardly hold a conversation without screaming at each other. Or blaming each other for something. Lachesis did not need that kind of drama in his pack, for their relationship (or lack there of) was nothing but toxic. Their daughter did not need to be around that, no matter how badly she wanted both of her parents to be together. It wasn’t possible. Not now; not ever.

He nodded once more at the healer's words, the corners of his eyes falling. Truthfully the ghost was sad to see him go, for he had been a good friend to the Stark during his time in Hearthwood. But Lachesis was used to wolves leaving. The discomfort would not last long.

Lachesis allowed the father to say his goodbyes to his daughter, a soft frown tugging at his dark lips. He knew that Lorcán meant the words dripping off his tongue, even if Oksana did not. He also knew that it was not easy for the agouti to leave the north; to leave her. One day, hopefully, the little Baranski-Artemieva would understand and forgive her father. But that would take a lot of time and healing—and only if she was willing.

As the defeated father turned away Lachesis nudged at the little crow, motioning for her to follow him back into the Kingswood. It was time she came home.

Fade, thread complete.
