So much of her life she had been determined not to bend for others, but now she was a mother and her center of gravity of changed.

The twins scuffle had brought them closer, and Sovanya broke away from her twin in order to seek cover beneath her foster mother's elbow. Woya looked down upon the hiding child fondly as Adonya charged after her, intent on continuing their play. They deserved to know as much of their history and culture as they could, and to also be able to share that knowledge with their foster siblings rather than being isolated by their differences.
