Gradually the flock continued to thin with more and more individuals opting to retreat from the scene rather than test their luck against the clicking teeth of three wolves who had already proven themselves capable of removing the wind from beneath their wings and thrust into a fate of never soaring high again. It was a wise decision, but not all of them would make it out alive today and still a couple stragglers remained, signing their names away on the dotted lines of their death certificates which were perfectly fine with Enoki. More lifeless feathered bodies, more food for the pack to dine on.
Parted jaws snapped at a specific individual that happened to waddle too close, mere luck being the only deciding factor that prevented her teeth from snagging on a mouthful of feathers, but the sound of jaws snapping shut loudly was still enough to deter the bird from sticking around any longer and smoldering amber irises watched the black and tan bird take flight with one last obnoxious honk. Then, her attention was drawn to movement off to the side. Her head turning just in time to catch the bemusing sight of Attica tumbling; rather unexpectedly by the look plastered across her face, onto the backside of a goose.
Had the situation not been deemed serious in her mind the magpie may have laughed at her expense, but there was no time for lighthearted laughter and swiftly a blur of white came to her rescue before Enoki could shift her own body in the girl's direction. Immediately Sven's jaws wrapped around the thin neck and crushed the fragile bones within, a sickening crunch echoing from the impact. A few moments later and the body was limp between them, a final glance around by Enoki revealing that the few birds lucky enough to escape with their lives now dotted the distant horizon just above the treeline. Snorting, a low growl directed at the fleeing flock reverberated within her chest shortly after before shifting her attention to her pack mates. Facial features smoothing while her tongue protruded to pant lightly from the energy exerted in their spontaneous hunt.
"Well, I think that was rather rewarding. We should be eating well for a little bit with what we managed to score here." She spoke, glancing around them at the unruly scene of scattered down and slain geese from the fiasco that recently occurred.
