Ravenna Archer-Lyall
Medic 3/3

He felt for her and the pack, this was obvious by the expression of his features, the falling of his ears and then the small wag to the ending which she had told. There was not a day she did not miss her parents, her aunt, her age-mate sister and she was determined to live on and prevail with their memory to look back on. Blitz, even though he knew very little of her family and her pack, seemed to care enough about her alone to feel remorse about Willow Ridge and how they had all suffered so deeply last year. She smiles ever delicately to her old childhood friend, his words a comfort to her. Though she spoke openly about her parents with her family all the time, telling stories about them, reminding them of all they had done, it was hard to open up to wolves that had not been a part of the pack or part of the family. Blitz was lucky to have learned, in a way, if only to better understand all Ravenna had been through.

"Thank you so very much Blitz... It means a lot." She smiles again, reaching out to touch her silver haired muzzle to the nape of his deeply black nape. She then pulls away quick just as he gestures to the collection at her footing. "I'm going to strip a few pieces of bark off the trees here and then we can head out." She spoke, ending her sentence as she made way towards one of the cedar trees, lifting up on her back legs to scratch dull nails into the wood. She lifts the pieces into her mouth, holding them firm and then juts her nose to Blitz to get the other bits of branch so that they could then head on out. They'd better get going before the snow turned bad on them and they got lost out here.

His consoling words certainly had not fallen on deaf ears. They were well received, which made him feel good in knowing he comforted his friend. Accepting the touch of her muzzle to the dark fur along his neck, he bobbed his head, allowing only for a soft hum of acknowledgement. He knew no other Ridge wolves but her. Didn't even know the names of her parents, her siblings and cousins. But he sensed their history was deep. His interest was growing...he wanted to learn more, slowly and without being pushy. He would keep that to himself for now. Ravenna had opened up to him on her terms and he did not want to disturb the flow of that pattern.

The weather was only getting worse, the snow blowing with the wind more fiercely than before. Squinting his eyes against the cold, he followed her lead towards the cedar tree of her choice. "A wise call. I'll assist and help you carry half of this back." He mimicked her, rearing up to scratch and bite at the rough bark, letting it fall neatly between his teeth. Once they were both satisfied with the pickings he scooped up part of bundle of herbs, careful not to ruin the structure of the plants with his jaws. Sticking close to her side so as neither would get lost in the blizzard, they headed towards the Willows.
