Sterling Archer-Lyall

He snorted at his mother’s words as his right forepaw kicked at the snow beneath them. Still pesky, he muttered defiantly, his tail lashing out behind him. Sure, they had pushed some buttons, but that didn’t mean they had to be treated so rudely by their blood relatives. The Archer’s amongst the willows had no respect for their name as far as Sterling could tell.

His gaze remained fixated on the dark stranger in the distance but his upper lip had resumed its previous position as he stepped closer to his mother, his body angled toward the shadow. Just passing through… and eavesdropping? How rude. Clearly this wolf had not been raised properly. Listening in on the conversations of others was highly frowned upon… especially when he was so blatantly obvious about it. If he wanted to listen in he should have done so without being seen. Dumbass. He remained uncharacteristically silent as his mother questioned the stranger, asking for a name from them. If the male wasn’t interested in sharing then it was best he sauntered off, for Sterling had a million and one questions for his mother and did not want an audience.

Judas Orion Archer
Judas ARCHER
by the light of the moon, we run

She was relentless. Her smile offering a friendly attitude and she pressed on for answers. Judas, as a skeptical of anything handed out for free, including information, could not tell if she was being genuine or not, especially with that white guy glaring him down. The woman said that she had moved here recently and ghat the wolf he was looking for might 'be one of her own' thus hinting on to her rank. Maybe she would know a thing or two after all.

"Yeah, his name's Skoll Archer." He finally then allowed, shifting in his long, willowy limbs. While his mannerisms to her remained rather neutral, the young wolf's stare was beginning to get under his skin. Those dark grey eyes then turned away from the woman and on to the wolf at her side. "Hey guy, if you got a problem you'd like to address I suggest you do it." Judas snapped, his own snarl offered to mimic his. His position remained as tense and ready as before, only now his tail waved high in the air and everything about his posture suggesting a 'bring it on'.

Morganna Archer-Lyall
baby I'm back now, feelin' how I used to feel
Morganna Archer

Morganna was not a wolf that needed a bodyguard but it seemed her youngest had forgotten in his time away. She aimed a quick click of her teeth towards a pale ear, aiming to give it a warning tug as the interloper spoke up, catching her attention and earning himself a low warm chuckle from Morganna. She gave the boy another glance, he had the look for sure, "'E's m' brother, should be headin' ter bed about now though. I'm Morganna, this is my son, Sterling." She knew the boy was unlikely to introduce himself so she took the option out of his hands entirely. "When you pair sort yerselves out, yer welcome ter come by th' scowle an' get yerselves somethin' ter eat. @Skoll's had a rough time so I'd rather not interupt 'is rest unless it's urgent?" If her assumption was right the boy was family anyway, she wouldn't make him wait any further away than he had to, if indeed, he wanted to stop at all. But she was no messenger.

Sterling Archer-Lyall

His mother was quick to introduce himself to the dark stranger but Sterling didn’t mind. He wasn’t interested in talking. Not to the loner, anyway. His paws ached and he was ready for a good, long rest after travelling. He had found his mother—that’s all that mattered to the silver Archer. And it looked like he had beat the rest of his siblings, just as he had hoped. As the dark loner addressed him Sterling stiffened, his brows narrowed into a deep V. No problem, he answered smoothly, his tongue clucking against the roof of his mouth. He turned to his mother as she spoke once more—she clearly wasn’t interested in the displays of dominance between the boys. And neither was Sterling. He had already grown bored of the dark stranger, his tail swaying dismissively behind him. The duchess, however, was intrigued by the rough time his uncle Sköll had endured. But that was a conversation for later, when he’d gotten something to fill his empty stomach. ’M ready to go when you are, he hummed quietly, his charcoal gaze still resting on the dark frame of his mother.

Judas Orion Archer
Judas ARCHER
by the light of the moon, we run

So she did know Skoll Archer and the news caused Judas' ears to perk high on his skull in interest, listening to the woman as she said that he would probably be resting at this point and that she was his sister. His aunt, then. He knew she had to be Morganna because Skoll had said that the only other sister he had, Ravenna, was pale in color. She confirmed this however and mentioned the name of the son at her side. Judas opened his mouth, hesitating, trying to decide if then he should just tell her who he was. Why not now that he knew she was family and that she could lead him to his father? But she continued on, leaving the option closed as though a way to omit the pressure on Judas all together. Good. She allowed the time for him to work on his own terms.

"No, it's not." He then spoke, offering a small smile. He did not wish to leave his dad in an even more sour mood by rousing him out of his den. He would see him soon, he knew. Besides, Judas still had to catch up with his brothers, sister and of course visit his family in the Willow Ridge. "Thanks." He then said to Morganna's offer of letting him stay in the pack if he so chose and to get himself something to eat. His eyes then traveled to Sterling once more, who dismissed him by looking to his mother and saying he was ready to go. Judas could not help the outward scoff, the smirk toying on his lips an obvious sign that he took this youth's sudden disinterest as a back down. After so much talk, only to be uninterested now, surely meant Judas had one this silent feud. "I'll be around." He then decided, offering his aunt a dip of his muzzle and as he began to turn away he added, "Name's Judas by the way... Your nephew." Fade
