AW to one or two.
Late afternoon - near sunset, Broken Clouds, 14F/-10C

if karma's real, hope it's your turn

The cub still had almost two weeks left in her punishment and any fuzzy feelings she had had about making it home were quickly wearing thin. Sure, she knew she shouldn’t have wandered off - especially so close to winter as her hunger had reminded her, but she didn’t think it was honestly that bad. She had just felt a little bit left out and forgotten about while everyone had been scrambling to find her siblings while they had been lost.

The days were short now, and cold, most of the time not breaking into the positives and a light layer of snow had gathered over the last few days and for the first time in her life had not melted by the afternoon. She might put up a tough facade with her father over the grounding, but at night she was thankful to curl up with Kaylsta to keep the chill at bay. Part of her protest about being punished was her refusal to do any of the chores that she was assigned unless she was really chased down to do it. If she had supervision she would begrudgingly do what needed to be done, but other than that she mostly just moped about.

Childhood angst had set in in full force, and the emotions practically radiated off of her visibly into the air. Huffin dramatically, she kicked a small stone and watched it skip across the fragile ice before plopping through in the center where it was weakest.

Ally Valle

I guess it goes to show, does it not?

THAT WE'VE NO IDEA WHAT WE'VE GOT UNTIL WE LOSE IT

Ally was trying. Or, she'd decided she was going to try harder. She'd spent enough time secluding herself from her pack members while she wrestled her grief, only interacting with @Viorel or @Eros when the chance arose or they sought her out. She didn't think she could remember how to start a conversation anymore, what it had been like when she met her mother's family or other friends she'd made before. She wanted to be better, she really did... she just didn't know how.

Well, she supposed, as she smelled one of the pack's pups, it started now - with not turning away. Ally padded up to the pup... Hera, maybe? Kalysta? One of the girls that had vanished and been grounded. She'd been informed of that, at least. Heterochrome eyes watched the stone skip across the eyes and vanish with a soft plop. "Good kick," she said.
