Healing thread for @Anaeia, though other CWT members welcome.

After helping to drag the large mountain goat across the border and into the forest where it could be cached by the others later, Lorcan turned his attention to his newest subordinate. Glancing back over his shoulder, his golden eyes sought out her bright amber gaze. "Pebble, if you'd like to follow me.." He suggested, his tone warm and friendly, as he began to move towards the mountainside which sheltered their territory.

Confidently he led the dark female, and whoever else happened to tag along, through the dappled light of the pine trees towards the main den. Stopping to stand beneath the shade of the cliffs, his golden gaze drifted down to the dark gaping hole in the rock. "This is the main den where most of us sleep and where I'm storing the plants for the time being." The leader explained casually with a smile. He had still yet to set up a permanent place to store his medicinal collection.

Shifting down into his stomach, the agouti male carefully shuffled his way inside before turning back around, his bright golden eyes staring back out at the female through the gloom. "Coming?" He asked curiously.

The animal was brought within the confines of this pack's territory, and it was then that the male called Lorcan, addressed the girl. His friendly tone reached the girl's ears and she would give a brief look to Daesamar before turning away, paws carrying her after her new leader. Though she felt this strange desire to explore this new place with the dark male, she would be quite okay with branching off so that her shoulder could be tended to. Even if she would be okay with it otherwise.

Her steps were hushed as she moved, becoming the man's shadow as they moved through the territory. Amber eyes sweeping across their surroundings as she already began to map the place out, a forestry with strongly scented pine trees. Her gaze narrowed on them, though it was hard to tell if it was because of hostility or confusion as to the feelings they stirred within her. But things would go back, bringing a casual resting feature to her face when Lorcan had come to a stop near the base of a small cliff.

He explained the hole as the main den where most of the individuals here slept and where he happens to be storing his medicinal plants. Her skull lowered towards the spot, giving a few quick sniffs till she spotted the male shifting down and shuffling inside. Anaeia nearly rose a brow till he turned and asked if she would be coming. Without gesture she would follow suit, taking a moment to lower herself enough so that she could follow his actions to get in the den.

Once inside the entrance of the communal den, he hovered briefly, just long enough to make sure that the new subordinate was following behind him. Confidently, with his tail waving behind him, he led the dark female through the gloomy tunnel which opened up at the main chamber within the mountain. Golden eyes strained to peer through the dark as his vision adjusted to the lack of light as he began to search for the small pile of plant parts that he had stashed away weeks earlier.

Dark nostrils flared as his nose caught onto the scent of the White Fir bark mingled in with the other medicinal items he had been able to collect before the worst of the snowfall. "This way.." He said quietly, turning to back to meet her amber gaze through the dark before he loped over towards the far wall of the den. It was the furthest place from the entrance, where sunlight had the potential to seep in, so was the coolest place he could find to store his collection until a permanent medicinal cache was set up.

Finally coming across a small pile of leaves, along with a few strips of White Fir bark, Lorcan indicated to the pile with his nose before leaning forwards to grasp a small piece of bark between his teeth and setting it on the hard stone in front of Pebble. "This is the White Fir bark I was telling you about." He began, giving a moment to allow the female to sniff and inspect at it before he continued. "I'm afraid the only way it works is through you chewing on it." The leader admitted, russet ears pushing back in disgust. "It doesn't taste great but it will help those wounds heal more quickly." He explained, pale brows furrowing anxiously as he waited to see if Pebble would agree to the treatment.

She followed steadily, remaining only two or three steps behind the man as they entered the tunnel. Carefully the female rose and gave a small shake of herself once inside, allowing her amber gaze to adjust to the lighting change and the shape of Lorcan before her. This place gave her a strange sensation almost immediately, unsure whether it was a good or bad one. The darkness of the tunnel coiling around the body like a snake. Something was off and she couldn't quite make it out. What was this? In the shadows, her features would be hidden, ears pulling back partially with what could be called uncertainty in her usual stone features.

It wouldn't take long before they were on the move once more, travelling through a tunnel that smelled of earth and stone. It was almost interesting, not before seeing others use such a space in this manner. However, she couldn't shake this strange feeling she was experiencing. It was almost as though the walls were very slowly closing in, which in turn caused her to scale those claws against the ground as though warning them to stay back. Anaeia wasn't enjoying this one bit, something was stalking her, watching from the shadows... And then it opened into a larger chamber, all beneath the mountain. The air was heavy with the scent of others, tickling her nose in a way that caused mild annoyance amongst what she was already experiencing.

The man spoke up, the girl absently scouring her surroundings as though suspicious. Her gaze quickly shifted to meet his briefly, clearing back to her doll stare as she followed him to the far end of the chamber. With a shake of her skull the female tried to rid herself of the thoughts and feelings, things she was supposed to rid of before arriving in these lands. Curse that wolf, the chatterbox @Garmir had infected her. Bringing herself back the man in front of her, he had placed something at her paws, a piece of bark. This must be the thing he was talking about. And so she shifted her attention to him, ears pulling forward at his explanation. She dares lean down to inspect the piece, allowing the strange scent to tickle her nose.

It would appear that if she wanted it to work for the wound, she would have to chew it. There was a flicker of disgust in her eyes as she glanced up at Lorcan, the man displaying his own thought on the idea. The temptation to turn this away was very strong, the girl having no use for such things in the past and was able to make it through some serious injuries. But things were different, @Daesamar was pretty upset about her injury and she would not want to further put that on his shoulders. His soul was something she did not want to see in such a state, and so she would accept this treatment.

In one smooth action, she would scoop the smallest piece of bark into her jaws, eyes narrowing at the taste as she munched on the item. The little juice and dryness of the bark was not pleasant, as well as the roughness of her tongue and the roof of her mouth. A few bites in and she looked to Lorcan with an unimpressed stare, ears to the side as though glaring at him. It was indeed disgusting.

"Speech."
always watching...
