Admittedly, Volk found herself a little surprised that Vlar seemed to take her up on the offer, even if not immediately. She couldn't speak much for how Ruiko would react to Volkan bringing the white female to the new pack, but hoped he could learn to forgive her for whatever had happened between them. It just... pained her, she thought as she watched the snowy wolf sigh to herself, that such a caring, generous soul had suffered so much misfortune. One of the nicest wolves she'd met yet in Relic Lore, and she'd ended up this way...? It didn't make sense. But, maybe there was a side to Vlarindara that Volkan didn't know.
Her pale eyes wore the concern of a friend as she stood still as a statue, weathered tail hanging limply at her ankles. "...Promise," she responded gently, guilt filling her heart. In that moment, she realized her youth, her vigor, her naiveté— perhaps, she knew now, the things that had coaxed Vlarindara into her own ruin. It... scared her a little, made her feel uncomfortable that her situation had improved while Vlar's had downturned in such a way...
"Vlar, I should go now," she said apologetically, lifting a paw with hesitation she hadn't shown since her first day in Relic Lore. "...I want you to come North if you ever need... food, shelter... some fish," she added, a smile coming to her colorless face at the allusion to their first meeting. "If you run into Ruiko, tell him you only came to speak with me. I dunno, maybe he'll listen."
She began to turn away, icy eyes falling to the cool ground, away from the white wolf with a final smile. "It was good to see you, Vlar." And with that, she shut her eyes, inhaling deeply as she started off into the trees.
