He hoped his parents were around, and Lee as well. Where had his sister ended up in all of this? Where had Andrey’s and Viorel’s sister ended up? “Wherever they are, I hope Xules and Lee are with them.” He answered, because he did care about his family, even if he was brash or dramatic. His family were perhaps the only ones who could actually talk sense to him at times.
Vayko found contentment with Andrey’s words. Did it really matter? There were three of them, and they were all perfectly healthy. They could win a fight if it came to it, right? He started to dig into the kill, watching as his cousins did the same. Perhaps the two-legs had left this kill there, just as they had left them. Either way, he wasn’t going to question it… at least not right now. He might circle back to that thought later.
They all found their fill, his eyes on a swivel to make sure no one else got the ideas that they had. He hummed softly as he dug into his meal fully. It wasn’t as good as fresh meat, and it certainly wasn’t as food as fish in his mind, but he also knew that beggars couldn’t be choosers and this was the best he was going to get until they could figure out where they were.
