All the way till she got here and yet no wolves. Nia disliked having to go so far out and away from her mom, given her state, but she felt she must. Briefly she considered dragging Danica along with her but concluded it would be too much for her frail mother. Not to mention would if someone made a move on their territory? She wasn't there to stop them, but maybe knowing someone was coming back would deter strangers. Least...it was all she could hope for. By the time she'd reached the familiar creek nighttime was settling in, the skies darkening. The Winter Dame glanced up at the stars with a deep sigh. Her tail hung limp, edges of her lips turning down into a frown. Finding wolves to join a pack that was no more was proving a challenging task. Either the nearby lands would be deserted or the few she met just weren't a fit. The creamy woman approached the creek with a rock in her mouth, carefully using it to bust the water. Last time she'd drenched her face, but today she was wiser. The ice gave away just enough for her to reach down and use her teeth to wedge into a crack. With little effort she pulled back unveiling the flowing waters beneath. The Hervok heir drank her fill, lapping at the crisp refreshment. Her mind was heavy.
