Her legs and belly were soaked and and now she was shivering. There were times that Oksana really hated winter and this was one of those times. She'd been running through the territory chasing a rabbit that she'd happened upon. Then the next thing she knew she heard a cracking sound and felt herself falling. Then…splash.
Once she pulled herself out she realized exactly what had happened. She'd been so focused on the rabbit and what it was doing she didn't realize that the patch of ice she was running across was actually over a rather large puddle that was frozen over.
The crow stood there at the edge of the puddle and shook out her coat. She flung water every where hoping to get as much off as she could. Then she looked around to find her rabbit but it was gone, "Just my luck," she said out loud.
