....a role play sample (200+ words): It seemed the other was skeptical of her ability to walk all the way back to the mountains in one night, where his coven resided. And for that, he could not really blame her. His home was a barely visible silhouette in the darkness of the night sky, and Jadon didn’t think he’d have wanted to traverse such a formidable distance on an injured limb, either.
Rest was probably the best thing for her, at least for now. For a couple of days at least, he imagined. And maybe he could wait with her, she requested. There was an odd look in her eyes, too, as she studied him. A strange aura about the woman that suggested there was something about her that he was not privy to.
Jadon pondered it for only a couple of seconds, though, before dipping his head in a nod in agreement. He had duties to attend to, back home, certainly. While he was sure the coven would not be thrilled at his absence initially, he had to believe that he would be forgiven, once the coven found out why he’d been gone.
He could not simply leave an allied coven’s emissary injured and alone out here, especially not when she was the daughter of their alpha. To do so would be a far worse, likely unforgivable sin. One that could cause unneeded turmoil between the covens.
That was not a risk he was keen on taking, so tentatively he settled into the snow beside the woman. He wouldn’t leave her side until he was sure she’d be safe.
