The white woman never really heard of the underground sea, never really having the time to explore it anyways. Well now was the perfect time to. With the gracefulness and beauty like nobody else, the Leader climbed down the foothills of the renowned Mountain of Dire, her homeland and source of never ending freedom. This was where she truly lived, although not really owning it, she still relished in the fact that she could roam the treacherous rocky slopes all day, whenever she really wanted. Athena was indeed beautiful, however, the mountain was true beauty in her eyes. Dangerous and unpredictable, but beautiful. Just like the tough woman climbing down it's rocky body.
Athena's been through more than most. Rough childhood, many near death experiences, taking command of a mentally beaten up pack, and taking care of cubs that were not her own blood. Her life wasn't easy and it wasn't about to get any easier. She knew that, but taking time off all the pressures was good for her. It allowed her to take time for herself and think about things, things that might matter in the future. Time away from all the chaos helped clear her mind and when she came back from her trip, she was in a better mood. Especially when she started to feel depressed again. Athena always tried everything she could to remain strong and not let things affect her, but sometimes it just doesn't work out. She gets in a rut and can't get out of the blanket of darkness. It suffocated her until she couldn't take anymore. Trips like these were starting to help take the pressure away and today was just another day like that.
She soon found the small cave that led into the depths of the sea that she hadn't gotten the chance to see fully yet. Past trips through the Heights gave her the knowledge that this was down here, but every time she had to hurry and go back the other way. However, today was the day she'd find out what really was down here. The caverns were beautiful, the drip drop of dripping water began to sooth her mind from her unwanted negative emotions, putting her mind at ease as she focused on the pitter patter of the water. As she rounded a bend, she saw it. The rest of the copper colored cave was covered with crystal clear water that lapped at her feet. She didn't try drinking the water, though she doubted anything bad would come of it, she just wanted to take it all in. The scene was beautiful, nothing she's ever seen before. Sitting down to enjoy in peace, her mind was finally at rest. For now.
