Activity Guidelines Update

Our activity guidelines have recently undergone a review by the staff team and have been updated. In an effort to be more clear and precise when it comes to our guidelines, we have given the activity guidelines their own library article. The full article can be found here. This article should be reviewed by all RoW members, both old and new. Much of the policies remain the same, but we have made some adjustments that will affect all characters moving forward. Below is a quick summary of the changes:

Reactivating Multiple Characters
We don't have character limits at RoW, but instead trust each individual player to determine how many characters they can handle. This means being able to meet the activity requirements for all of your characters. If you have multiple characters who are removed because of inactivity, you have 1 free pass to reactivate them all at once. After that, if the majority of your characters are removed because of inactivity, you will have to rejoin them according to the new character rule. That is, you may only bring in a new character once every 2 weeks.

Pack Activity
We clarified that our pack activity rules are the same as our pack creation rules. If a pack falls below four active members/players, the pack will be given one activity check to recruit more members before it is disbanded.

Pack wolves who are removed during activity checks will have five days from the date of their removal to rejoin the game and be automatically played back into their pack. If the character rejoins after that, they will have to rejoin the game as a lone wolf and proceed from there. Example: Bob is a part of Oak Tree Bend. Bob is removed on September 1st because of inactivity. Bob has until September 6th to rejoin the game and be put back into Oak Tree Bend.

NPCs
We are introducing NPCs to the game, to cover for situations where a player has to leave the game for more than three weeks. A player may not make a character an NPC while the player continues to play other characters on site - the NPC status is only for when the player will be completely absent from the game. Please note that NPC status must be agreed upon before hand by the player, the staff, and the relevant pack mates and leaders. For more information, please see the activity guidelines article.

Character Wills

We have also set up a character wills system. This is an optional system that simply lets you state what happens to your character in the event that they are removed for inactivity, besides the default, "they went missing/left". Please note that character wills must abide by the activity guidelines. Wills that do not meet the guidelines are considered invalid and will not be honored (and the default reason for the character being gone will be used). See the examples below.

Good Examples:
If Bob is removed from Oak Tree Bend during an activity check and does not return within the 5 day limit, it can be assumed that Bob talked to the pack's leaders and said that he was leaving.

If Bob is removed from Oak Tree Bend during an activity check and does return within the 5 day limit, it can be assumed that Bob requested permission from the pack's leaders to visit the other side of Relic Lore.

Bad Examples:
If Bob is removed from Oak Tree Bend during an activity check, it can be assumed that Bob is still in the pack wandering around.

If Bob is removed from Oak Tree Bend during an activity check and does not return for another 2 activity checks, it can be considered that he was on a scouting trip for the pack.

Comments & Questions

If you have any questions about either the activity guidelines or the character wills, please let us know by responding to this announcement and we will do our best to answer and clarify.
Does the free pass count for reactivating an existing character and adding a new character?

You use up your free pass any time you attempt to join with more than one character in a given 2 week period, regardless of whether or not a character has been played on the game before.

So since you activated Athena this week, if you wanted to bring in another character without waiting the required 2 weeks, it would use up your free pass. That means if both Athena & the new character went inactive during the next activity check, you would only be able to bring them in one at a time.

Does that make sense/answer your question?

Yes, it does thank you! (:
