Moved this to north of Turtleback Lake, hope that's okay with you <3 It should work with your post, the mentioned pack just being HR instead of WFN :)
(setting this after his thread with Mako)
His treks seemed to take him longer and longer from Hearthwood each day. He still followed the river, the roaring water soothing to his ears, and its path serving as a neat guideline for finding his way back home. But he longed for seeing the new, for attempting fresh and even more daring feats. His meeting with the other pup at the waterfall had only increased his appetite for adventure, and he secretly hoped their paths might cross again for another match of bravery. It was with that vaguely in mind that he started off southward today, in direction of that same waterfall. But the river split and remerged many times along the way, and wanting to travel new paths wherever possible, Kyrios followed the branches on whim.
It felt good to move, to lose himself in the feel of his paws against the floor and that ever present trickle of water in his ears. As much as he threw himself into these pursuits though, he could never quite escape the worries. It wasn't just adventure he longed for, he ached for his missing half, in constant fear of what might have happened to her out there. Every time he left home, he toyed with the idea of not turning back come night fall, of continuing out there, scaling the mountain, as imposing as it was, and finding the lost part of his family. In the end he never dared, he worried too much about Atropos - she needed his protection too – and even his father. While he still hadn't gotten over all his anger against @Lachesis, Kyrios no longer actively avoided him generally trying to see things from his side. But he was still glum, still felt lost, trapped between his dedication to both parts of his family.
Brooding like that, it didn't take long before the pup was far from home, and the day nearing its end. alerted by the change of light, he blinked back to reality, golden eyes roaming the underbrush before landing on the small break-off from the river he had been trailing. It wasn't a place he knew, which brought a small smile to his lips, but as he turned his gaze skyward, he realized that there was no time to explore it; Not if I wanna get home on time..! His smile faded, a sigh instead falling from his mouth. Then a treacherous voice whispered in the back of his mind; Maybe I don't… It would be the first time he'd stayed away for more than a full day and night, the idea sending a chill down his spine, but at the same time, that smirk returned, eyes twinkling at the thought of all the new he could manage with that extra time. Eager to run with this whim before he lost his nerve, Kyrios jumped ahead, rounding a bend of the stream at a half-lope; And crashing into a body lying on the ground, tumbling into the snow with a loud yelp.
