Frankly, he wasn’t sure what she would have done if she’d said no…but he was glad that wasn’t something he had to figure out right now. He hadn’t even given birth, and the dragon was already tied. All he wanted to do was curl up with Signy and the pup…Aegir. His name was Aegir, now.

When the kid was older, concerned with more than his mother’s milk and a good nap, he could explain. And to his mate, too, when she wasn’t so clearly exhausted.
