Wild Cherry Orchard Never knowing how close you truly are

Nia rested among the cherry trees, her large frame curled up beneath one that had to have been very old. It had seen days many of wolves taking their resentment out on it, deers scuffing their antlers, and bird plucking fruit from the high branches. The now yearling lay here, longing ever so deeply for her brother on the day if their birth. To have him pressed against her now, oh what she would give up. Everything perhaps. The world, her rights, her life...just to have him here for a brief sunset. She missed him so.

Nia watched the colors fade across the sky with a soft coo. While other she-wolves at this time would have more than likely ignored the sight to find a relief of their itching, she had no worry. The girl had another summer and winter season before her turn would come and for now she would lie here in awe. The sun slowly fell beneath he horizon with a background drop of reds and yellows.
