@Aleister || Backdated to Feb. 28th, Very southern Mt. Dire, Mid-morning, Light Snow, -6°F (-21°C)

She slipped away from Kajika's side sometime in the night, a restlessness taking over her. Her paws took her north away from the safety of the pack. For being here under the deal of a scout she had not done much scouting. Not that she was really doing that now. Perhaps she'd find something useful but that wasn't her actual goal.

Her paws gripped at the rough terrain, her footing becoming more careful as the lands grew more rugged. She would halt for a brief break. The large Parlow had no intention of climbing the mountain all the way today. In fact, she figured she'd be expected to return by tonight or tomorrow at the latest. It was not like she had warned anyone of her trip. Although her scent could be tracked (if it did not snow much more) going out of the pack.

Hopefully that would be enough of a note for the others.

He was here, in the mountains again where he had once called home and grew up. Those days weren't far behind him though as his past seemed to be just around the corner with every step he took within the Lore. The last time he was here, which was rather brief, he manage to avoid seeing any of his family. Instead, he was in and out without much disturbance, allowing him to continue forward with his nomadic lifestyle.

Hugging the rugged terrain closely, his paws finding familiar footholds that he once used as a child. As he rounded a large boulder, his attention was caught by a pale figure a few yards ahead of him. The wind wasn't in his favor or else he wouldn't of chuffed a casual greeting if he had known what pack this female belonged to...

Her ears leaned forward as the sound of a no-word greeting reached her ears. Yellow eyes scanned the rocky terrain before she noticed the dark tawny wolf against the ivory and gray lands. He was only slightly smaller than herself if she was seeing it right. Although it was no surprise that it seemed to be mostly large (or large on the medium spectrum...) lived up in these rugged spots.

She debated on ignoring the greeting. He was merely a stranger and she owed him nothing. But she had come out here for a bit of a distraction. It would be a shame to let such a lively distraction go to waste.

Hello there, She called out in firm neutral tones. From around here? She cut right to the point. He smelled of himself and the earth, the sign of a loner. The large female imagined anyone would have to be terribly stubborn to live in these harsh conditions on their own.

As she turned to face him, the wind drifted her scent towards his nostrils and what he feared would happen while traveling across the mountain was happening now. The stranger was covered in the Cove scent making her own someone he had been trying to avoid in the first place. He couldn't really take it back as she called out in return to his greeting. Perhaps he would still be fine, she didn't look familiar, couldn't be a relative the he knew of at least.

Her tone neutral, he took a few more steps to close the distance between them though leaving a comfortable space. "Yes and no." He said plainly. Though he was born here, he spent most of his time away from these parts. "I was born in the Lore, but spent most of my years outside of it." Elaborating for the pale female as his first answer was rather vague. "What about you?"

Her head nodded softly at his answer. The Lore was a rather vague answer she had learned. Meaning it could be any number of places in this wild expanse. She had barely seen any of it even with the view occasionally seen up from the high peaks.

To her, this male was a stranger. She knew nothing of him and their possibly shared ties. His scent told her loner and that was all she would know unless told.

Born in a rather nice place far from here. Only got here recently too. Her shoulders shrugged. She didn't mind sharing that bit. It wasn't like she was dumping her life story out on the mountain ground. She stated the facts because he had politely returned the question. Simple as day. I'm down that way now, though. The Parlow wolf said with a small gesture south. It was vague enough that he wouldn't come barking on there borders but hopefully enough to soothe any curiosity.

She wasn't a native of Lore it turned out, though there wasn't many that were if he really thought about. Almost everyone he met was an outsider seeking a new life within the Lore, while he had been just the opposite. Born within the Lore and he sought a life outside of it. However, the Lore must have some pull because here he was back within his homeland. Though, he wasn't sure how long he was going to be staying. She motioned that she indeed lived down at the Lake, which he already guessed by the scent that hung upon her coat. Are you guys fairing well? I knew a few wolves from there, not sure if they are still there though. He was purely curious as he didn't intend to get any closer to the borders to check it out himself.
