Vindlys was undetermined if he liked the 'big den' any more than he liked 'the first den'. There was more space, of course, and that had certain benefits. Not getting kicked in the face by his stupid brothers, that was certainly a bonus. Having his own corner, that was good. But sometimes he was too cold. Or sometimes he just wanted to be curled up against his mother's soft belly, and she wasn't there -- or, even worse, everyone else was.
The dark pup exhaled heavily through his nose, stomping out of the den. Angry with no particular reason, he continued this ridiculous stomping, over-large paws slapping against the ground, until he had the chance happening of glancing up. And then he saw it. The boy's mouth fell open, blue eyes widening as he stared.
"Wh-wha??"
