Scully sat at the falls, their roar drowning out the rest of the world. The temperature had risen enough that the snow had began to melt at the surface and ice dripped everywhere. The rivers and creeks around the Lore would soon enough be full to bursting, and the air was already beginning to take on that wonderful, feral hint of what March brought on and encourage. All in all, he was having himself a pretty fine day in what he considered to be beautiful weather.
He'd caught himself a hare earlier, and was tucked into the bloodied carcass now, picking away the flesh with closed eyes and a contented smile on his maw. He appeared oblivious to his surroundings, as though the water's thunder were a protective barrier in itself.
