Magg Slayer
all welcome, @Nash & @Galen up to you guys how long Magg's been out and what's been talked about already. c:

Magg woke slowly to the scent of dried herbs, cold earth, and her mother. She was groggy, exhausted and still hurting as she stirred. But she was home.

"Mom... ?"

Her voice was raspy, barely coming out at all. She lifted her heavy head and looked about with bleary, blinking eyes for Aquene's form, but couldn't find it. She must have been in the infirmary, so where were the others? Her heart lurched in her chest and her limbs struck out, hoping they would collide with another wolf, anyone. Even somewhere so safe, Magg did not want to be alone.

Nash Eastfall
Sunshine and Tasha, let me know if you want me to change anything

Nash had taken up post outside the infirmary, not unlike how he'd done when both his litters had been born. He's tried very hard not to interrogate Galen; it was clear the boy was exhausted from the journey and needed rest. He'd asked enough to know that their young companion was his wife's missing granddaughter, that they'd come from Paradise Falls... and that Magg would have a lot to tell him.

He heard his daughter stir and glanced only briefly at his company before driving into the den. He was not as useful here as Aquene, but he would keep his eldest daughter safe. "We're here, Magg," he said, stepping in to soothe her thrashing as he might have done when she was still a pup having a nightmare. He kissed her crown. "You're home. I'm not going to let anything hurt you."

Eclypse Eastfall-Slayer
consider this just a cameo please <3

Magg was back.

Only it didn't seem like Magg. Something was different and wrong. Tucked away in the shaman den, under watchful gazes and paws more skilled with herbs than young Eclypse currently was. Admittedly she was scared to go closer than her watchful distance some yards out. Scared of whatever the world had done to her sister and whatever state she had returned in.

From here she could be on standby without being seen from those inside unless they peered out and looked to the Cove's surroundings.

Still her heart lurched with a fear that this was a bad omen. For the first time in her life, she skittered off to a private place to speak soft words meant only for her ears. Soon she would return to take a distant watchful spot again. For now she needed to reaffirm her confidence in the world around her and soothe the anxieties that bubbled within her.

Magg had been about to call out, the sound catching in her throat when all at once her father was there, having rushed in from the outside world. Too dehydrated for tears, soft sobs still took control of her chest as she buried herself against him, eager to be held by her parent. For a time, all she could do was cry. There had been too many times she had feared she would never get to see her mom and dad again, that she would never feel safety again, would never be back home. She had all of it back in this moment, and the relief was overwhelming.

Unless... where was her mother? Just because the infirmary smelled of her didn't mean she was home, or that she was safe. Wouldn't that be the cruelest, if she was finally back but too late and Aquene was-

"Where's Mom?" fear outlined her words as she pulled her face back to look into Nash's eyes, "Where's Mom, Dad?"

Despite the rest that his aching body had screamed for after the long journey home and the obviously withheld drilling he knew her father wanted to give him on all that had happened, Galen couldn't bring himself to find such solace anywhere but outside the infirmary that currently housed his best friend. A need to still protect her even now when surely she was at her safest flowing strongly in every fiber of his being. Similar in the way he had served as a shadowy guardian outside the den back in the Falls the swarthy boy took up the same here and now while allowing small bouts of sleep to relieve his heavy eyes only once Nash had come to take over.

Magg had been out for awhile now and the yearling couldn't blame the poor girl, the time guarding her passed by continuously filling both Nash and Aquene in with all that happened in segments. How there was someone out there attempting to pick off Cove members, adding his personal assumption that the Backwater could be behind it given their fall out. The obvious injury and lack of proper medical attention she needed despite Chan's efforts. How the Falls had time after time brushed their urgent request to send word home to the side. There was still so much more that needed to be told, but Galen felt those parts were best heard from Magg herself whenever she finally stirred.

With her father currently settled on the opposite side of the infirmary, Galen had found a few fleeting minutes to bring his eyes to a close and gain some more rest his body needed only to be jolted awake abruptly hearing Magg's raspy voice down below. The older man was faster to delve into the den than himself and as such he opted to keep watch, albeit kept his attention partly honed in on them. There at a moments notice if needed.
