Yearbook 2024 Preparation

We are officially coming up on Ruins of Wildwood's 12th active birthday! It has been a long ride, and much has happened in this most recent chapter. We're counting on you guys to help us piece it all together for our upcoming yearbook covering the chaos that has been 2024!

Please look closely at the dates provided below, as they are different from the previous year.

Yearbook Theme Voting

Due by: December 1st

This year, we would like to have an official theme for the yearbook that has been chosen by you our members. The theme will be incorporated into the artwork, such as skins and flair, to help them be even more meaningful and commemorative of our shared stories. Give us your ideas by posting here to this announcement! Suggestions are only being accepted through the 23rd; voting will begin on the 24th and end on December 1st.

Superlative Suggestions

Due by: December 1st

We of course would also like to know; what kind of superlative titles would you like to see this year? What classics do you want brought back? Let us know your thoughts by posting them to this announcement! Even if someone has already named what you were thinking of, please still post; the more 'votes' for a certain title, the more likely we will be to include it. If wanted, you can find some inspiration by clicking here to go through the previous yearbooks. Suggestions are only being accepted through the 1st; superlative voting will begin on December 2nd and end on December 17th.

Character & User Blurbs

Due by: December 22nd

Each character and player active this year have a place in our yearbook, but can only be included if a form is filled out and submitted for each of them. Even if you don't have all of the information, we'd still love to see your additions to this keepsake page, so please feel free to submit incomplete forms.
* If you are not comfortable submitting information in this way, please reach out to staff by PM'ing the Spirit of Wildwood so that we can accommodate you. If you make a mistake, submit a new form - only the most recently submitted version will be used.

Pack Blurbs & Superlatives

Superlative Suggestions Due by: December 1st
Pack Blurbs Due by: December 22nd

Pack leaders are responsible for composing and submitting a summary of their pack over the past year. For instance, what were the key events, how did they impact the pack as a whole, how did they impact individuals? To facilitate this, a brainstorming thread has been created for each pack so that members can assist. These threads will also be used to field suggestions for Pack Superlative categories, will only be taken through December 1st; voting will begin on December 2nd and end on December 17th.

YEAR IN REVIEW SUBMISSIONS

Due by: December 22nd

When summarizing this year for Relic Lore as a whole, what events do you feel should be included? Please post any and all suggestions to the general Timeline Submissions Thread. This will ensure that important events are properly commemorated in both our yearbook and our site library. While the official site timeline can be added to year-round, for your submission to be included in this year's yearbook it must be posted by December 22nd.
Okay in terms of theme I have a few suggestions, and tried to go with like "classic yearbook" suggestions you might see in like a high school yearbook (I may or may not have looked at some of my old yearbooks for this - yikes):
  • Comic book themed
  • Retro
  • Doodles/graffiti
  • Galaxy/night sky
  • garden/cottage core/storybook (this wasn't one of my yearbooks but I wish it was)
I don't have a lot of new superlative ideas but my top favourites from last year are:
  • Most personal growth
  • Most ambitious yearling
  • Most likely to throw hands with god
  • I loved all our pairs last year - particularly that we had a mix of romantic and platonic
Theme suggestions:
Passing the torch
Playing cards
Tarot
Tarot Superlative suggestions:

The Fool - Who took the biggest risk and/or made the biggest fool of themselves?
The Empress - Biggest #GirlBoss
The Emperor - Who showed the best leadership skills
The Lovers - Most adorable couple
The Hermit - Who had the most personal development
The Devil - Most devious/Evil

Wheel of Fortune - Who had the best luck

Themes: Gonna second 'passing the torch'
maybe something with memories

Superlatives:
Most impactful death of course!
Site golden child
All the pairs we had last year were so much fun
Most likely to throw hands with god of course
mostly likely to attend the devil's sacrament
Biggest troublemaker
Most spoiled child
Biggest plot twist
I like Puppy's Tarot ideas!
