Indru Tainn

The Creek was endless, it seemed, acting as a major source of water for most of the discovered Relic Lore and Indru felt he could follow it all day. The boy had a perhaps unorthodox way to follow Heartleaf, choosing to walk through it's middle, paws kicking up the water's spray making his fur damp as it coated over his back in a fine mist. Yet, this was just the way to travel, to feel the cold water around his paws, as the midday sun shone down on his back without mercy. With a barely audible sigh the Leader paused, dipping his head down to drink some of the cooling liquid and snatch some of the blackberries of the bushes nearby, chewing them while he thought over recent events.

As Indru thought of Swift River, his home now, he felt his gaze inevitably drawn to the south, gazing past the burnt ruins of the Wildwood and instead resting them on the strong and proud forests of the Scared Grove. It still hurt to see the wreckage of his old home, and he brought his head away angrily as he felt a lump rise in his throat, now was just not the time. With a heave the boy started moving again, his meandering walk forgotten in place for a gentle jog as he headed towards Wild Cherry Orchard, after all, he had things to do.

Delilah "Murder" Devant
moonlight on my floor shining through the roof
they got the city surrounded as if i needed proof

Something about the lack of the blood on her maw drew her to the creek which she had heard so many times passing by this way before. She was hungry, and the small animals that she had been hunting down and eating for the past couple of days weren't doing it anymore, she would have to find some nice piece of venison to allow down her throat. She wasn't letting it get to her, though, with the lack of pack duties (what? What were duties?), and the freedom to roam about nearly everywhere she wanted, she wasn't sure if she should actually let the feeling of an empty stomach hinder her. Murder Devant was doing quite fine on her own, and she wasn't dead yet so that must have been a good sign.

Moving her small-ish frame slowly through the forest, she allowed her eyes to cast a cautious glance at another figure moving through the water. He was wading loudly through the middle, and as he chewed on some berries she noticed that he seemed to walk with a leader-esque air about him. Was he the alpha of a nearby pack? She had already met one alpha, she wondered if another pack was residing nearby. She wished not, for she didn't want to accidentally stumble near the edge of the pack territory and have a few scouts attack her. She was too sly to be caught, and as she crept closer to the male her yellow eyes gleamed. She was hidden in the bushes, and as she moved they rustled, blowing her cover. It was what she intended to do, and as she stepped out she realized that he was already a little ways in front of her. She had a yeuk to follow him and to find out what his business was, being a nosy spy and all, but she wasn't sure if he would appreciate it. Plus, she had already stepped out of the bushes and he was sure to see her, if he had heard her and was to turn around.

You get my 100th! :D

The Creek was calm here, not as strong and gushing as it was nearer to the mountains in the east, but still it was only slightly that Indru heard a rustle in the bushes. Before turning he scented the air carefully but the wind was not in his favour and told him little but as he turned to peer over his shoulder a wolf came into sight. He paused, a paw raised slightly, as he scanned the stranger with his fiery eyes, a wolf he did not know and most likely a loner. For a moment the male considered just continuing on, after all the wolf had not shown any sign of wanting his attention by calling out, but it felt rude, something not in his nature if he had received no ill doing so he turned to face her.

Hello. Indru stepped out of the water, his eyes trained on her in a curious way instead of one full of aggression, and approached slightly. The closer proximity meant he could pick up a scent now and he could then confirm she was a lone wolf, like everyone seemed to be at the moment, and he halted a fair distance away waiting for any response from her. It seemed the best option as if she was aggressive he had time to react and if she was afraid.. well he was at a distance to not encourage her fear. The Tainn was aware that he was not a small wolf after all and that the scent of a pack clung to him, and this showing of allies could be a worrying thing for a loner who typically had none.

As anticipated, he turned around to greet her, and Murder almost shrunk back as he started to approach. Noting how he wasn't approaching in a hostile manner, she allowed herself to return to her previous state, letting her body relax to the point where she was still on guard, eyeing the male cautiously. He walked with the stride of an alpha, while he only took a few small steps forward she could tell so. It was all in body language, and his body was telling her that he was the gerent of some magnificent pack, or so she assumed. He was handsome, even with his legs dripping wet and the fur there sticking to his skin, and his eyes were smart as well.

He spoke, and his voice was smooth and masculine, and it was no surprise to her when his stench reached her that there were a mixture of different smells clinging to him. He definitely was the alpha of some pack, and Murder dipped her head in respect to let him know that she meant no harm and was submissive. While she was a loner and did not answer to anyone in particular, she still felt the need to be respectful. She could have easily been near the male's home and close to trespassing, and she hoped it wouldn't anger him. "Hi. Lovely day, isn't it?" she asked, continuing to stand because it was easier to get up and run if she needed to that way. She doubted she would need to, but it was just in case.

Niija Tainn

It is, came Niija's unexpected reply. But then, every day is beautiful.

She approached from the forest, somewhere behind the lone wolf; and, unlike her brother, Niija came as she was. Although she made no move to adjust her posture for the stranger's comfort, it was hardly needed—the druid was never threatening unless there proved to be a need. A breeze rippled through her long fur, tousling it and the foliage caught within it. Across the river was her brother, whom she greeted with a slight bow of her head.

Golden eyes rested on the lone wolf and darkened slightly as Niija furrowed her brows. Something was amiss with this one, but she would offer the benefit of doubt for now—though Niija was rarely wrong. That she was submitting to pack wolves was a good sign at least. Although loners seemed to think pack wolves only reigned over their lands (and this was true), packs in general ruled the world.

Indru Tainn
Edit: Fading to black to conclude.

Her reaction was positive enough that Indru felt he could approach further without causing issue, though naturally wary of a strange wolf (who wasn't?) she was not hostile in response to his greeting at least. The female replied to his question and then asked her own, one Indru was about to agree with until his sister did it for him. The Tainn had smelt her recently to know she had been around but her arrival had been missed by his distraction of the stranger.

Indru noted his sister's nod of her head with his own, turning back to the lone wolf with a small smile, yes that is true, Niija. Niija's opinion on most things was taken with high regard by all the Tainn's, but Indru especially respected his sister as he was so used to their brother's hot headed ways and he found Niija's presence calming. I'm Indru Tainn, Leader of the pack on the Swift River. The connection between Niija and himself was clear, he knew, as Niija smelt of the pack like he did though Indru felt that it was his sister's right to introduce herself so he left it her, walking a pace closer to the two females before sitting down and watching them.

The trio sat together and talked companionably for a while before, almost as if it was synchronised, both Indru and Niija rose to leave. He laughed lightly as he watched his sister before nodding towards Murder, we are both off, it seems. You are welcome to visit our pack on the Swift River if you wish to seek company though. Indru smiled and then, with Niija at his side, loped swiftly home.
