Partessence Lumason
(Morning) Overcast — Current Temperature: 72° F/22° C

Early to bed, early to rise. Partessence was certain that she'd heard that somewhere once. But she didn't believe it. She preferred to stay up late and wake up early. Maybe some more thoughtful wolves would have been concerned with this sleeping schedule, but Party wasn't bothered. If she wake up feeling fine, what was the big deal? And the woman was certainly feeling fine! It was weird finding herself not only with her own scent, but with the scent of Willow Ridge upon her too. Weird, but not necessarily bad. She liked the Archer woman, Elettra. Elettra was cool, Party was down with the dark woman. But she wasn't so down with her packmates, not yet at least. In her mind, she could only picture big husky men and women who weren't far off. She was like a bush in a forest of huge redwood trees. But since she'd chosen to keep her terrible sleeping habits out of the way of her possible packmates, she hadn't really seen anyone yet.

Party figured that she'd want to sleep in the pack den eventually. Like...Communal junk. But she wasn't all that interested in being confused for a rabbit (though this was still assuming her packmates were all hulking masses of fur and muscle). Her jaws parted in a small yawn, and she pulled down into a stretch, her tail curling over her back before she let her rump hit the ground. Bright yellow eyes stared intently at her toes and wriggled them, laughing absently. It was likely she should have done something...Wander the borders, make herself useful, but if she was gonna do this pack thing, she was not going to do it alone. Tossing a glance over her shoulder, she would simply wait until one of her fabled packmates appeared and then she'd drag them along with her. <b style="color:#8f8806">

He felt driven, on that day, to make something of himself. Perhaps it was his vocabulary was becoming better so while others weren't paying more attention to him, necessarily, they were paying a different kind of attention to him. He felt as though they were speaking to him, rather than just speaking to get a response of some sort. They expected a reply- and now he was capable of conversation. Just like they were. His vocabulary was limited, of course, to things he knew best and understood- things he'd seen and done, the practical things which were useful in an average day. He felt more grown up that @Skoll, as he'd struggled with his speech and more adult than @Morganna simply because of her size. With glimmering pride he sported the role of the eldest Archer Prince like a sash about his fiery shoulders.

He finally began to develop an interest in his packmates, now that he could communicate with them. Rather than being more or less faceless beings who submitted to his mother (and therefore him) they became individuals who needed to be known, so that he could one day command them as his mother did. And he wanted to do it right. So the Prince had adopted a confident stride which was as fluid as the movement of a feather on the breeze, airy and swift. He slowed his gait when he caught the scent of a wolf he did not know. His ears perked and eyes sharpened. This was a stranger.

He followed the scent until he saw her, still somewhat sleepy-eyed, and not particularly doing anything. He came to a halt, one ear turned back and his gaze bright and somewhat fierce, though there was a mildness about his lips which portrayed no demons. "You are new," He said quietly, managing to keep judgement from his tone, though he'd already made certain assumptions, having caught her doing absolutely nothing and looking pretty pleased with herself. "I am Asriel Archer," He said, and allowed that back-turned ear to rotate forward expectantly; it was her turn, now.

The boy that approached her made no effort to be sneaky or even playful. It seemed a little odd for a kid, but then what did Party really know of children? Obviously one of Elettra's kids, she could only assume, since that was the way the world turned, and his manner seemed a bit like her's, except maybe a bit too stiff and mechanical. <b style="color:#8f8806">Well hello, Asriel. She answered, playfulness in her voice, though she didn't get up nor did she wag. <b style="color:#8f8806">"I'm Partessence. But you oughta call me Party. I think you might need a bit of a party, cause you're kinda...stiff. She stretched her neck forward towards his own head as though she wanted to nudge him, but didn't have quite the reach.

Her head pulled back, resting atop her shoulders again, and she pulled herself up to her haunches, only slightly towering over the growing pup. He'd probably be bigger than her in a few months and with that attitude of his she wasn't looking forward to it. <b style="color:#8f8806">"Aren't you supposed to do puppy things?" She asked. Perhaps she wasn't much of an expert, but certainly puppies were supposed to be curious and mouthy and...Well, awful. They sounded kind of awful, at least the ones in her mind. But she'd only met one of Archer's three now, so...Maybe there would be hope yet. Unless she could somehow get this one to show her a little teeth. <b style="color:#8f8806">

At first, the prince was pleased when he was addressed by the female. He would have preferred to see her show a bit more respect for the son of the queen- perhaps if she'd bowed her head or used a tone which was a bit more appropriate when used to address the prince and heir. But he overlooked it for a moment, something he regretted only a second later when she introduced herself and made the observation that he could use some fun, and that he was stiff. He pulled back when she reached out slightly, nose wrinkling a bit and eyes gleaming with indignant fire. She sat up, something which further displeased the pup, whose response came with a curt tone.

"Aren't you supposed to do adult things?" He asked. This was a woman, and women, if they were anything like his mother- which they really ought to be, as she was the prime example for her gender- should be useful at all times. This one was lazing about, and criticizing him for not acting like a puppy. He looked her up and down with a gaze full of scrutiny. There was hunting to be done, the borders needed to be patrolled, scouting to be done. She should have at least been making herself useful, rather than lazing about and waiting for someone- even a pup- to come and tell her to get up off her hind end and do something. He wasn't incredibly surprised, then, that her name was party- it would suit her well if she decided to try and get through life without being serious.
