{Narcissa} <3 and {Luka} can jump in as well!

Nikoleta was rather bitter about this whole ‘joining a pack’ business that her parents had sprung on her. Just as she had gotten a taste of what life would be like if she was a gypsy, constantly traveling and exploring, it had been ripped away from her. A permanent frown was etched across her dark features as she trekked through the Hills, small body struggling to maneuver over the dusty-red rocks. When the girl wandered off she had promised her parents that she would not stray too far from their temporary den site. Cissy had announced that they were looking at one of the nearby packs to join, but Nikoleta was far more content being a rogue than having to conform to the rules of a pack. There was so much freedom that came with the lifestyle of gypsy; freedom that she would not have known if her parents hadn’t decided to leave the Fields.

And now, the freedom that she was infatuated with was no longer going to be an option. She adored her parents, and knew that being with them was what made them happy, but joining a pack did not make her happy. Nik wanted to persuade her mother to allow her to remain as a loner, but she knew no matter what she said it would not convince Narcissa. Whatever mother said was the final word – there was no arguing with Cissy, and Nikoleta knew that.

Her thoughts began to wander as she attempted climbing a ledge buried within the Hills, brows narrowed as she wondered what her sister was doing. Josalyn was doing some exploring on her own, just as Niko was, and the bi-coloured eyed girl worried that she would not be able to find the rest of her family. She knew that her sister was capable of taking care of herself, but the slender raven still worried (frequently) about her well-being.

<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#D6C7B6;"> If Narcissa could live here without having to join a pack, she would. She truly would. However, as unfortunate as it was, they simply couldn’t risk it. Being lone wolves was easy as four but only when there weren’t a lot of packs in a single place. They had no idea exactly how many were located here but by the scents in her traveling and the amount of prey she had found; she didn’t suspect that there were less than four. They had to keep their options open. She could only hope that her daughters understood that joining this pack may not be permanent, it could likely be temporary. Nikoleta, she knew, would be the hardest to convince. It was a hard topic to press onto her eldest daughter (I assume eldest) since she possessed a very similar spirit to her mother, but it had to be known. Cissa had told Niko straight that this was likely not going to be a permanent change. Occasionally she would allow each of her children to roam, hoping that Luka understood to leave their daughters to travel around as they pleased. They needed to assert their independence and this was a good time to do it. It was always Luka who had the strongest hold on his children while Narcissa simply wanted them to be who they wanted to be without pushing. After all, it was their life and she would not intentionally mold it into something that they weren’t meant to be. Keep in mind that she did keep somewhat close but not intentionally.

The sun was warm on her back as the gypsy stretched her forelegs out, tail curling over her spine as a smile worked its way onto her dark lips. Niko revelled in the freedom that her mother gave her – it had made the transition to Relic Lore easier than the lithe female had anticipated. Although Cissy had explained that joining a local pack would only be temporary, the raven was still frustrated with the decision. There was nothing she could do, however, as the girl desperately wanted to please her mother. While they had traveled from the Fields to Relic Lore, her mother had frequently encouraged Niko to wander off, but there were was only rule that binded the petite yearling: she had to come back. She was still young and although she did not agree with them joining a pack, Nikoleta wanted to stay close to her parents.

As the familiar scent struck her nostrils, Nik stopped abruptly, bi-coloured eyes searching the dusty-red surroundings. With a crooked smile placed neatly across her dark maw, the girl called out to her mother while trying to pinpoint her location among the Hills. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px;">“Mother?” The small girl pulled herself onto a nearby boulder and lowered her hindquarters once she reached the top, ears pinned forward as she tracked the sound of her mother’s pawsteps.

<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#D6C7B6;"> Narcissa was not completely sure what she wanted to do in this land but what she did know was that they were here now. They had a lot to do and she didn’t want to just leave without knowing what was possible. There were countless places to explore, lots of wolves to meet and packs to gain information from. All the wandering mother wanted was for her two girls to experience their lives—to live without restraint. Luka was the one who was holding onto his children tightly while she desired for Nikoleta and Josalyn to live the way they wanted. So when the expressive voice of her daughter reached her ears she allowed her tail and ears to rise, as she pointed her muzzle at her bi-eyed daughter. It was always a strange thing to look upon her daughters eyes. They were a beautiful combination, one that Narcissa wished that she might have. They were beautiful, unique. They gave Nikoleta a spark that her mother somewhat favored. It was a trademark that if she had been born with it, she’d taken advantage of it and she assumed woo the looks of men with them. However, she was perfectly capable of being vain with the apple green that she had. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#D6C7B6;">“Yes?” she called, walking towards Niko with a light, angelic walk as the free spirit that she was. It was amazing just how vast this land was, and she could only image that the southern region was only the start.
