Pale lashes tickled at the chills cheeks, fluttering to life as the dull tangerine coloration of the sun began to filter into the place she had been calling her home for the time being. It was not the biggest of places she could find, only giving enough room for maybe one more additional canine of a slightly larger stature than herself but it was a place to sleep and had been littered with strips of the fur from only creatures she could manage to get a hold of. Squirrels, rabbits, even a few field mice seemed to be easier to pounce on rather than a weak or child herbivore. It might have been easier for her if she had a swaying appendage that could direct her movements and hold her balance between turning but alas she was cursed without one.
A silent yawn came from her lips as she moved her colorless paws along the outside of her living corridors, wiggling her nose past the protective vines as she gave her slender frame a stretch. It was then the smell of something fragrant seemed to tickle her nose, though the sun was still out at this lower altitude it seemed to cause the child less pain as she maneuvered her body through the tall cedars that had a fragrance of familiarity to her. Small thickets lightly brushed at her thin legs when her albino gaze seemed to land on the thing she thought she was imagining.
There, though the smell of an almost metal flare seemed to fill her nostrils. She could not help but lower her frame closer to the earth as she edged her frame closer to what seemed to be a half eaten carcass of a male elk, this could have been a trap.. The closer she seemed to get the less prone her body was to act in defense of a pending ambush, the fainter the smells of others grew. The child seemed to let out a cracked yipping sound in surprise, a sound of {wotd}juvenescent[/wotd] as she let her pink paw pads stop just at the torn hide of the animal, amazed that it was left here without a guard or even a sign that it was taken by another creature.
Maybe she was dreaming, if she was she did not want to wake up! Once more the child scanned the area for a sign of life other than the rustling of squirrels and the squawks of a few unhappy crows that had to abandon their little feast of the abandoned carcass. No sooner did her stomach erupt in a rather hunger filled growl did she allow her teeth to sink into the flesh of this delicacy, oh my this was good!
