Sven Archer

A sweet girl, she called his sister. Sven's tail gave a few proud thumps in recognition of this compliment, because she really was. Whatever bitterness might have been felt as a result of the adoration freely given to Attica was buried by the far sturdier cement of his desire for her to have this life, this better experience of pack and family and unspoiled love. Then, however, his age-mate caught him slightly off guard. Needed, was he? Sven blinked a few good times at her, trying to recall if he'd ever been told that before, in just the same phrasing. No one had certainly, besides his father in a grandiose, dictator sort of way, revealed that he might be an integral part of this pack. Sven couldn't help but smile at her.

Despite that, did Ravenna expect that Sven might be the one to stand at her side when that day of donning the crown finally came for her? He had to wonder, but dared not to ask. In all honesty, he was rather certain that most would frown upon his desire to possess the pack's throne so soon. Perhaps they didn't trust his age, his past or his temper explicitly. Maybe it was all in his head, a projection that would always separate him from those that knew him as a child. But whether Ravenna would tut or cheer, he could not risk interference in his ambitions.

So he kept his jaws shut, and again a moment of silence passed them by. Until, a test did come to mind. He couldn't help the mischievousness behind his wry smile as he regarded her, his intent surely clear for the clever girl. Would she bristle at the reference, or prove that she truly had moved past the incident?

"I'm always available for a tussle, you know. Been in a few scraps, even. I like to think I know a thing or two."

Ravenna Archer-Lyall

He was happy with her choice of words, this was obvious if not by the thumping of his tail on the ground but the smile which he had offered her when she had mentioned that the pack needed him. It was true enough. Sven did a lot for the pack. He had mostly taken care to Attica, teaching her and watching over her. He hunted for the pack as well with Enoki and Adele when she was still alive. He watched the pack border as back up to Renier too. While his father had passed down an untrusting nature towards others, an obvious distance with most and a quick temper, it was obvious Sven was his own wolf.

"Oh yeah?" She quips then as the words leave Sven's lips but that smirk remained. As a child, Ravenna and her siblings, more so Niles, had spent quite a bit of their time tussling about and playing, trying to learn how to fight when they were not learning about their family heritage, survival tricks from their father and of how to care for your wounds from their mother. After her mother had fallen off a ledge of the Heights in order to keep Ravenna from taking the tumble herself, the majority of Ravenna's attention had been to tending to her mother and learning her trade whilst Niles tended to their father and learned of his 'jack of all trades' nature. Ravenna was quite lacking when it came to battle tactic for any time she needed to assert herself it was with mostly intimidation due to her size. She used her build to her advantage, though seeing as Sven's own size rivaled hers, she would need more then this to out-master him.

Her body tensed, her hair along her spine bristling. "Show me then." Laying on the ground where her parents had both fallen to death and had been buried, she was at the disadvantage of striking. Her front paws dug into the earth, her body lunging forth and up, jaws snapping for his scruff but grabbing at nothing but fluffy white fur. He already had the upper hand, she knew and quickly tried to lift fully into a stand to correct it.
