Bane
A mistake. Oh, yes, it most certainly had been! At least, a mistake that Ashanti had allowed herself to have the child instead of trying to beat herself up in order to have a miscarriage, instead of killing the child when it was born... He had been brought into the world in a far more vile manner then a simple mistake, but an act of hatred, of lust, of aggression - words which he did not know when he was first told, though slowly his mind began to comprehend as he aged. Bane caught the widening of her eyes through his own and he turned away, a small frown forming over his lips.

She spoke of Nina and how she had visited the pack. Maybe a friend of Nina's that lived in another pack? He knew her, she said and for this, Bane held no reason to be skeptical. She had promised not to hurt him and so when she stood, mentioning of guiding him home soon enough, he only expected she would uphold this word. "Ashanti Aranna." He admits. Since Inali knew of Nina he could only be left to wonder if she knew his mother too. He had noticed her shock, took into consideration her words of Nina not mentioning him and her wonder of his mother. Obviously 'basterd children' were not a common thing, at least not common enough to be walking around like he was now. Would he be forever be remembered as a tragic event?

"You...don't have too." He would hate to waste her time further by her having to take him back home, back where she had only just left from. He shifts, lifting in the same manner she had and waited out her reply. He thought she might object his offer if she was anything like the adults back home. In a manner he hoped so, so that he may enjoy her company a bit longer.

Bleh, this sucks :/ you can fade out in your next post if you want. And you can pp Inali if needed too.

Speech.

He spoke of his mother, an 'Ashanti Aranna'. The name did not ring a bell, for she did not know the woman. He continued that she didn't really have to do it, take him home. But she wanted to. What if she just left him there and something bad happened? She could never live with herself. He was somebody's son. And that was the thought that cemented her idea of taking him home. No matter if he was a child born of unusual circumstances, that was the point, he was still a child. Smiling, she bent and nipped his ear in an affectionate gesture. Straightening, she spoke. Don't be silly young one. I'll take you home and drop you off at the borders." Inali turned and flicked her tail, signaling for the dark furred boy to follow her. She slowly made her way out of the clearing, wanting to get to know more of this boy.

It wouldn't take long to reach his lands, but she wouldn't push it. The boy was probably tired. "So, Bane. Do you like your home? Maybe one day I'll take you to visit mine." She didn't know why she had said that. But now that she thought about it, it could be fun. It would let the boy explore new surroundings, and maybe get away from his family for a while. After all, what other reason would he have to run away if not for problens with family? It all really depended on how Bane responded to her questions and statements of earlier.

She refused. It was much as he had expected of her, being an adult and all and wanting to make sure the child was safe. He could only assume that in the pack where she lived there was children too - why wouldn't their be? However, what he had not been expecting was the friendly nip to his ear, a rare thing which he gained around his own pack lands. Nina had done it a time or two before, Hollow even when he was younger, but he had no siblings to play with in his youth. The pack Leader's children had by far intimidated him and his own true mother had not been around so much. He smiled to the gesture then, pausing for a moment or two as he watched her retreat the clearing before following in tow on long, lanky chocolate colored limbs.

Her question had him pausing yet another moment, stopping just enough to allow his ears to fall low and a sigh to touch his lips. "I..." At first he was uncertain of what to say, his eyes drifting to the older woman once more. "Its complicated." He finally said, not wanting to really get into all the details of the 'tragedy' which made up his life - being alone in the den because he was the product of a rape, not understanding his loneliness, why he had no siblings. That his one 'friend' had lied about his father, that he was dead. Blah, blah blah... Bane did not want to deal with these problems. For certain Inali would not ether.

Falling silent on the subject, he only spoke up once more when they neared the edges of Secret Woodlands. His eyes once more sought the timber colored woman, his smile once returning to him briefly. "I'd like to see your home...someday" It was the last he said before he went bounding over the border's edge and onto home.
