Late afternoon came, and what had once been a sunny day had grown colder as the clouds rolled in. Kisla lifted her slender muzzle to the air, her slender figure pausing mid-step as she noted that a storm was likely on its way. Her bright green eyes blinked up to the sky, wondering how her parents could clearly define what the weather was going to offer for the day; she longed to learn.
With her pink tongue rolling across her inky lips, the youth pushed herself from the fallen tree she had perched herself upon, her pale golden fur shifting as a cold wind whipped past. Her paws hit the ground gracefully, and for a moment the youth could have almost appeared adult-like in her appearance. Her baby fat was melting to lean muscle now, and her height and weight were quickly accumulating now that the pack was thriving with successful hunts once more.
Prowling forward, Kisla was about to go find Fenru and see if he wanted to practice hunting with her when a white snowflake fell before her eyes. Blinking, Kisla’s gaze intently followed the unknown substance to the ground where it perched cautiously upon a single blade of dead grass. Glancing back up, the young wolf soon realized a wave of snow flurries had erupted from the sky – the first she had ever seen. Standing still in the serene clearing before the den, Kisla Tainn blinked in wonder as she experienced her first snow fall.
