<blockquote>The sun finally began to crest over the far off mountains, turning the blue hues of the sky to a dull purple at last. Morning was still a long way off, but that little peep of orange within the world above was enough to drag Silence from her slumber. Together her golden eyes parted and took in the new dawn around her. Stiff from her awkward sleeping position, a small rock a few foot down from the lagoon’s bank, her body was rigid and cold to the bone. She gave an inward shudder as she drew herself up to a sitting position.
A soft yawn escape her jaws, so soft it was in face completely silent, but it still managed to do the job of loosening up her jaws and putting her facial muscles back into action for the new day.
Her vision travelled to the sky, taking in the beautiful colours of blues and purple which stretched from end to end. In the distance a piercing of burnt orange began to climb upwards and turned the few clouds above it a dull blood red. Such pretty colours. She was certain it was going to be a beautiful day. Cold. Yes beautiful.
With a small smile to herself, she clambered back up to the bank of the lagoon. It wasn’t a steep trip, just a little awkward as she skipped from rock to rock, but never less she made it to the top in one piece. Now what was a gal to do?
