Ashanti's climb up the mountain was no walk. Not anywhere, it was purely for a bit of endurance training. She knew that time could teach her many things, but in the end, it would take her life, that was how time worked. It trained you up until you were almost strong enough to escape death, then it let death take over you. However, she'd train until she could figure out the secret. But alas, she knew all life would come to an end. but that didn't mean she couldn't delay it right?

She scented the strong scent of a pack. Interesting how these things work. Here it was like pack after pack. She'd never join a pack, none interested her... except for that Copper Rock Creek, she could learn much from that healer, Nina was it? Yes, Nina That was her and she could teach Ashanti herself easily. But she had to get in first. That was always the key, getting in and fitting in. She wasn't the nicest wolf of the lands, but she wasn't the worst surely?

She wasn't inside the border, so she'd nothing to fear, but of course hunger. She opened her jaws, briefly. The smallest scent of vole reaching her mouth, it watered. She leaned down, her eyes on the prize as she hunted her prey. Leaping, she reached it and killed it with a swift blow, she was still outside the border. She sat down and ate it.

Large paws slammed on the ground in Poison Path territory as once extremely pissed off male made his way towards the borders. Ever since the day he had scented the intruder within the Poison Path borders he had not been pleased. It didn’t seem as though things were quite going his way when he wanted them to. He had been going to mark the borders every single day and yet, it happened when he wasn’t doing his rounds another slimy wolf who wasn’t in there pack just happened to slip right under his watch. What if they would have hurt Bella? His green eyes brushed every single piece of land, not letting anything out of his sight. His nose twitched slightly though, when an unfamiliar scent whispered against his nostrils. And they were soon flaring.

His paws brought themselves towards the border, but when he saw that the female wolf was not too close, he visibly relaxed. His gruff voice soon called out, "It is good to know some wolves still have some sense in their brains when it comes to picking out borders." His eyes and voice were completely serious, though he eyed the vole suspiciously, curious to as if the female had caught that on their side of the borders. . .though from what he could smell, nothing seemed to be out of place. She had kept her distance.

<i>"It is good to know some wolves still have some sense in their brains when it comes to picking out borders."</i> She looked up at the warrior in front of her. Respect was key, but if he put a hair out of her taste of dislike, then he would pay for it. <b>"Of course, me mother always taught me to respect borders. What kind of wolf would trespass to steal prey,, unless they were thieving loners. I could never live with the guilt. I just wasn't raised so."</b> She stated the complete truth, her eyes giving no emotion as always. <b>"Say you about a bit of a wisdom who has been through much, it will help in the long run. Time is the greatest teacher, but unfortunately when it's pupils grow nearly to strong for death, time gives them to death willingly. For if one is too strong for death, they are too powerful for time, and will outwit time itself. So live life, embrace it."</b> she said.

She looked at him. She'd forgotten her manners with all the lecture she'd given. <b>"Forgive my manners, I am Ashanti Aranna, I just had to get that latest discovery off my chest."</b> She stated, her eyes now kind to the cold hard wolf of the mountains. A bit of kindness never hurt a soul, except hers of course. She'd been kicked out of her pack for kindness, but that was just her power hungry aunt that took things out of control.

His thick tail wagged on behind him as his green eyes studied the female across from him. She was young and quite smell. . .yet wise. It reminded him of someone he should have been close to. . .but who? It dawned on him quickly as the yearling continued to speak, and her rounded ears perked forward so that he could hear her better. His lips curled into a kind smile and his head tilted to the side slightly, words forming on his tongue easily. When he spoke, his voice was deep and rough, with a slight sound of longing in it, "With those words I would have thought you were hanging around my sister, Nina." He tilted his head slightly remembering the scars that he had left on her pelt. It had been an awful reminder about what he had done. Realizing he too had forgot to mention his name, he spoke again, "I am Ash Hervok."

He briefly wandered how his sister had been doing. He hadn’t heard much from her since the break up at the nasty fight. Probably one of the only reasons he was not dead was because of her. He still regretted what he had done and wished that one day he could make it up to her. All because one day he had decided to make a damn oath to his father. His breathing evened out quickly, just so that he wouldn’t lose himself in his mind before this encounter became rocky. He didn’t want anything bad happening to anyone anymore. . .expect for maybe anyone who hurt his family.

<i>"With those words I would have thought you were hanging around my sister, Nina. I am Ash Hervok."</i> So this was the legendary Ash. The one whom had been the brother of her friend Nina. <b>"Actually, I have been hanging around there, talked to her a few times. She seems nice, though she won't tell me who gave her that scar. Man if I ever find you who hurt my friend. I swear I'll..."</b> She cut herself off, no need to get into gory details of how she would torture the wolf slowly but painfully, Ripping out they're eyes. Then disabling they're nose and sending them off to get hunted by bears.

<b>"Pleasure to meet you Ash."</b> She added, looking at her paws intensely. Deep in thought. She was a healer, but the urge to fight was to powerful for her to focus on healing the injured. She wanted to be of the Creek so bad, to be able to hang out with Nina and Kashikoi. <b>"Say, you you know that little Kashikoi too?"</b> She asked, if he was indeed Nina's brother, surely he met the packmates right? Her thoughts yet again zoning, really breaking down what she'd just told him. <i>"Say you about a bit of a wisdom who has been through much, it will help in the long run. Time is the greatest teacher, but unfortunately when it's pupils grow nearly to strong for death, time gives them to death willingly. For if one is too strong for death, they are too powerful for time, and will outwit time itself. So live life, embrace it."</i> She needed to embrace life more. She did mess with Rais' head a bit, but that wasn't enough.

When the words escaped the younger female’s mouth he was not surprised to hear them. . .and if indeed his sister, in the future, did reveal their secret then he didn’t want to be blamed for being a liar. It was not something he would tolerate with others, nor would he tolerate it for himself. He took a shaky breath before sighing and responding to the girl’s outburst. "I gave her that scar. . .all of them actually. I was going through a stupid period in my life. It has been resolved." In a sense the whole thing hadn’t been resolved, though he had gotten a broken paw from her mate. It hadn’t been much of a shock to him, he probably deserved all of the injuries that had been coming his way, if not for she who would stop them.

It was as though she were an angel sent from the heavens, stopping bad things from happening in the areas she were in and trying to help every single soul that she could. As well as an avenging angel to those who did wrong. He knew he had done wrong and he was trying to fix his ways. Perhaps another day he could go turn and see his sister. He once again spoke, his voice sure, "If you do join them. You will be in good paws." He nodded his head once, unsure of how the female would take the pieces of information he had given up.

<i>"I gave her that scar. . .all of them actually. I was going through a stupid period in my life. It has been resolved. If you do join them. You will be in good paws."</i> the words putting up instantly her bad mood. she was now trapped in the defense triangle. Back to the times of torturing males with taunts. but yet Nina seemed to love family, so she could not hurt him. she was trapped, a growl from her mouth. <b>"A bad wolf never turns god. My aunt proved that when she killed my mother for power. When she threatened to kill me as a pup if I didn't scram. So I have to warn you, you ever touch a single FUR on HER PELT again, and I won't be very happy. Wolves get scars when I'm not happy."</b> She warned, she knew Nina would not appreciate to hear these threats, but she couldn't let a friend, a packmate die by the paws of her brother, and she couldn't believe a word he said about being over it due to past experiences.

She gave a glare. this nice encounter had gone from good to her wanting to slit his throat there and now. She took a few steps closer so she was less then a foot from the border, but not crossing it, she she wasn't trespassing. She couldn't even process the emotions running through her. Pure anger shown in her eyes. She now hated this male wolf. Hate wasn't a word she used often.
(Trying to avoid a fight, so a maiming threat will have to do)

From what Naira managed to tell her, Rhysis was lost and dangerous, someone she couldn’t allow sneak by the Lake for the sake of the children and Poison Path itself. The courageous Everfall woman wasn’t scared of many things, but something in Naira’s voice made her dread the day of his return to the Lake. When he does make his way towards her lake, she’ll be waiting. If he wanted to attack her family, he’d have to get through her.

The footsteps of the Leader could be heard once again on her routine trips around the border as she marked and reinforced them. All her senses were alert, so wasn’t hard for her to hear the voices ahead of her as she came closer. She could hear the distinct deep voice of her loyal second, Ash, but the other was unfamiliar and sounded angry and irritable. The wind brought her the scent of Ash and the scent of the other, which didn’t hold the scent of any pack that she knew of. Perfect, an angry loner, just what Athena does not need right now.

After the Shadowstorm incident, Athena was very wary of any lone wolf, especially ones that showed up at her borders. And this wasn’t going to be any different. Trust isn’t given out like candy here. It is gained by hard work and genuine kindness. The same goes for respect. Respect must be given in order to get it in return. So Athena kept all those in mind as she made her way towards Ash and the stranger, her dominating presence couldn’t go unnoticed.

Tail and head high, she stopped besides Ash her fiery eyes flickering over to meet the emerald ones of Ash. Her attention then turned back towards the stranger, her fiery eyes looking over the female. Anger boiled behind those baby blues. She had heard the last part of her angry speech and it didn’t go well with the Leader. “I will warn you, I can give scars out as well.”

He would take the words as a beating silently, basking in his own shame. He knew he had made a mistake with his sister, though he didn’t regret what he did. Perhaps if he hadn’t he wouldn’t have been able to live on with his life. His green eyes flared at the loner though when she stepped closer to the border and his fangs exposed. It was a sure warning for her to back away from the borders. His shoulder muscles tensed, ready to spring if needed, and he even went as far as issuing a warning growl to her. He usually didn’t mind loners far away from the border. . .but now she was too close.

His low growling was interrupted by the presence of another. . .his alphess. His demeanor changed, and his lips pulled back into a frown as he dipped his head in respect to his rebel leader. His backed up slightly, yet not too much, as he stood on guard next to her. His green eyes were blazing with fury as he watched the exchange. He was ready to leap if it was needed, for he didn’t want the little girl laying a paw on his leader. He watched in silence, wandering how it was going to go down.

<i>“I will warn you, I can give scars out as well.”</i> She snorted, these wolves were nothing compared to her aunt. She was fearless, wanting just simply to slit Ash's throat there and then for he did to Nina. <b>"I'm not harming him, just giving him a fair warning for what will happen next time. It was all fine until I found out <i>he</i> gave my friend those scars."</b> She snarled. Her eyes a warning. <b>"You don't scare me with your little dominant stance missy."</b> She warned, she was trudging through dangerous waters. She knew she needed to back off. she could take them separately she thought, but not together.

<b>"Since you'll be doubling up on me, I guess I have no reason to waste time here. Hopefully we never have to meet again, but remember my warning Ash Hervok, remember it, heed it."</b> Her eyes still threatening, she trotted off, she felt no longer needing to tease males, but a new goal. Keep an eyes o Nina and Ash, for Nina's own safety. The only thing that kept her from lashing for his throat was the fact of Nina. Ashi was sure she had still loved her brother, because Nina was a kind soul. She was sure Nina would never forgive her if she actually attacked, maimed or tried to kill Ash.

Her ears high, her nose smelling in case they got any ideas. If they had a matter of pride, they would not dare follow her. She'd done nothing to harm the pack. Ate a vole, not on the territory, but near the border. She'd given a warning not to hurt her friend again. Now it was back to Copper Rock Creek.
