Were the heavens trying to punish her? Certainly there has more loners with attitudes on her borders lately. And honestly, Athena was sick of them. The lady warrior lashed forward, her teeth snapping at the air in front of Ashanti's muzzle. The snarl that followed was deafening. Athena meant business. She wasn't here to sit around to chit-chat and make friends with obnoxious children. She had a family to protect.

Her warning was obvious, 'Get out or get your face chewed off.' However, Shadowstorm didn't get that message. "Leave now." She growled between her bared teeth. If she didn't move now, the girl would figure out the consequences. Athena wouldn't back now. Never has, never will. "And never come back again." Athena added, her body still in the defensive position ready to strike.

The girl soon trotted off, but the warrior didn't relax. She was frozen until she was positive the young girl was gone. Her body soon relaxed, her tail hanging lower than usual. Fiery eyes glanced back at the emerald ones besides her. Her silent guardian stood protectively besides her. Poison Path was lucky to have him. He was a good soul. No matter what mistakes he's made.

His lips pulled back in a nasty snarl as Ashanti continued to back talk them. His own eyes were glowing with an ember that didn’t want to be tamed. How dare she talk back to Athena like so!! Upon time, a loud snarl was emitted from his small alpha’s mouth and with it came a loud growl of his own. This loner was not welcome on their lands, and he was quite tired of them bothering their family. When she left, completely, Ash’s own shoulders relaxed slightly, his ears lowering in submission to his leader. They met hers though and he instantly, stretched out his neck so his muzzle could ran over hers briefly, a sign of clear devotion to her. His next question was clearly one of loyalty, "What do you want me to do now?"

There were a number of things his alphess could order him to do now. He could continue on with the borders, hunt some, look over the pups. . .whatever she would like, it would do. His green eyes stared at her amber ones, wondering what was going through her head as she stood there, head held high and proud. Never the less, he was ready for whatever was to come next.

Haha, going to use all three of my tables in this thread:3 Sadly, you can tell this one is my oldest one, since it has her as a Moon and not a Everfall. Oh, well. I think I'm going to have this placed after the pack meeting, kinda easier I think. Lightning, you can post one more time and have it archived(:

Everything that has been happening to her, has been taking a toll on her. The landslide, the fight with Shadowstorm, Naira’s return, caring for the cubs, and worrying about Rhysis returning has all drained upon Athena’s mental and physical strength. She’s been trying to hide it from everyone, but for once she couldn’t hide it anymore. Her body is visibly exhausted now; her head and heart hanging low. Ash’s touch gave her comfort that she desperately needed. She leaned into him, his body acting like a barrier so she wouldn’t fall to the ground in exhaustion.

Ash’s deep rumble brought her back towards the real world momentarily. What does she want him to do? She doesn’t even know what she wants to do herself. Life was pushing her to her breaking point. She needed Tlarx, her wall of comfort. She needed Bella and her smile. She needed Datura and his playful ways. She needed Ava. She needed Ash. She needed her family. She needed to go home. ”I just want you to take me home.”" Her once fiery eyes, now only a faint amber, looked up at her silent Guardian, he knew the way.

In all of the time in which he had stayed with Poison Path, he had never seen his strong leader so venerable. In truth, the sight hurt him dearly, but he stayed silent as he supported her, his massive head leveled with hers as her nuzzled her cheek briefly before following her command. His paws moved forward, guiding her towards their home. He was careful and cautious as they made their way back. Him making sure that everything was in order as she took another paw step so that she wouldn’t fall or trip. Ash made sure to go out of his way to clear his leader’s path. . .nothing should have ever been in her way.

Much had happened for Poison Path and she had been making sure everything was in order and what not, while he had faithfully been standing by the borders. From what he knew, at the moment, he was the only other Guardian, save Treena, who had not been seen. He had taken the path upon himself to mark the borders. . .twice a day. It was just another thing that he hoped Athena would not have to fear, for he would always be there, a silent guardian that would watch the borders with his life.

He continued on, his muscles flexing in his shoulders. . .and soon, the whole denning area came into view. His green eyes scanned the area, before walking over towards where his alphess usually settled down. After she got herself situated, her loyally laid down by her side as her support system. His head was lifted protectively in the air, watching the area with his observant eyes. He would not let anyone hurt her.
