@Borlla
Here we go!

The moment he had stalked away his intention had been to seek out a more secluded area of the Ridge lands. To curl up.. to disregard any feelings or emotions he had felt. To allow the sun to rise and wash away this darkened feeling that clung so heavy to his chest now. The realization that the woman he had wanted to build his life with had not chosen him, but the lowest of the pack. The wolf she had once spoken to with rage and hatred in her heart. But the twisted ending of this so called fairytale was more than he could swallow, and come daylight, the ivory male found himself stretched beneath a tree within the meadows.

Grey clouds rolled overhead, threatening to give way to a wet snow, given the warming of the land. Uncaring, Phineas remained, still like a statue, his eyes cast upon nothing more than a gentle blade of brown grass that so dared to peak itself out from beneath the thin remaining snow.

It dawned on him suddenly what a waste his time had been these past few months – Willow Ridge did not hold the promise he had so dreamed of, and within its walls he would not hold children; nor did he feel he could look upon her face any longer and not feel a burning sadness, mixed with what could have been described as resentment.

Phineas Argyris was once more upon the meadows as if it had been summer once more and he had just witnessed his beloved with another man.

The North was a wasteland now. Useless to her until she could start fresh. One day she'd be able to return without having some unpleasant recollection of something that had happened two years ago. A perfect childhood tainted. So, she furled up what she had and dumped it. Little did she know she'd be able to return North much sooner. Her intentions were to seek out Phineas, head towards the Willows. She found herself gravitating towards him. A new friend? She didn't know, but she wasn't about to let all that go to waste and rot. Her muscles pumped beneath the skin, driving her through woods and over streams until the faintly familiar scent of Willow Ridge came into her nostrils.

The woman hoped to find him perhaps lingering near the borders or near by, but his scent was nowhere to be found. Her actions felt obsessive, but...Fear drove her further and further away from the Ridge in search of his trail. He had to be the one to show her there, so she'd hunt all day if she had to. But the sky began to threaten storm and she knew her time was running thin. Thankfully, near the meadow she caught his scent, following it closer and closer, stronger and stronger until she spotted him. Gleaming white among the brown. For a moment, she wished to call out, but her jaw locked. Maybe it had been wrong of her to trace him here. But as of now, he'd proven to be the only control in her life. Borlla hadn't been able to say that about anyone in quite some time. Perhaps two encounters was hardly enough to declare someone a control, but with Borlla's track record it certainly was, and especially since he'd seemed so kind. Why would she let that go so easily? No. For once she wasn't going to toss something with so much potential value aside. She wasn't going to take it for granted. She was going to grab hold of it with all of her might and never let go.

<b style="color:#32527a">"Phineas!" The woman called to him from a distance, not daring to move from her spot until she could see the look on his face. Perhaps then she'd know whether or not she'd been foolish or smart to come so far based on something so uncertain. <b style="color:#32527a">"speech."

His misery lead him to little thought outside of the failures of his life – his age could only prove such, and while in his distinct prime now, the ivory wolf had little to show for such. Perhaps, at the end of the day, that was the worst burden of all. His birth pack, once his legacy, now rested in the uncapable paws of a wolf he had once called brother, while his children of past had turned out to be false in their bloodlines. He had loved the boys no less because of it, but there had been no place for him in the meadows, and so the Argyris wolf had turned paw and left within the darkness of the night.. only to come upon a scenario that was only too familiar, despite being less deceitful.

His name was called, and abruptly he glanced up, knowing the tone to be familiar. Of course, a weary heart had expected Elettra, come to tell him that their conversation before had been a lie and Kiche’s seed did not stir life within her now.

Yet it was not the dark fae that refused to abandon his mind that came to him now, and the bright pumpkin eyes of the slender and pale figure of Borlla came to him as if from a dream. He regarded her quietly, taking in her beauty with an appreciation he had yet to fully offer her given where his feelings had lied before. Yet there she was – a thinner version of what he knew she would be had she been in full health within the heart of a pack. The myriad of creams and greys that adorned her slender figure; the brightness of her gaze.. the hesitant confidence she exuded. “Borlla,” he murmured in turn, attempting to clear away the sorrow of his tone as he spoke her name. Shifting, he lifted himself up, trailing closer to her now as the grey clouds of the sky that so dulled the land and his mood before became forgotten. Her scent was intoxicating, and his eyes fell upon her with something new within them.

Seconds ticked by like terrible hours, and Borlla realized, as she saw him lift his head, that she'd been holding her breath. Her jaw clenched as air finally found its way out of her lungs, and she rose slowly, wondering if it was safe to approach yet. He'd yet to speak, so she remained standing and still. Something felt wrong, like she'd interrupted something. The silence was carrying on for too long and what little confidence she'd had coming into this was quickly waning. Whatever expression had wormed its way onto her facade in waiting gave way to a look of confusion, caution. Something was wrong and she'd walked right into his solitude. Yet he moved towards her now, her name on his lips, and she took one, two, three hesitant steps forward, meeting him.

She finally managed to meet his eyes, something so strange in them, she couldn't truly pick it out. <b style="color:#32527a">"I-I came to find you..." She said, unsteadily, but tried to hold her gaze steady. <b style="color:#32527a">"Something's wrong." Her words were still cautious. It was foolish of her to think that she could read anything at all on him after knowing him for no time at all. But she had to say something. The silence was just far too much to bear. Her breath was faintly labored now, uneven, with the feelings that seemed to course through her whole body. It was discomfort, the urge to care for someone you hardly knew...A feeling akin to those she'd felt so long ago towards Bardou, but somehow...Amplified, a product of age, perhaps, maturity, more likely. <b style="color:#32527a">"speech."

I love how he feels it logical to tell her he had a failed courtship with another woman right before he tries to coax her in to it.. {slaps Phin}

She seemed to sense that something was amiss with the male – this stirred further passion within the male, that she would even notice such a thing. It seemed he could drown in his emotions within Willow Ridge and none would come to aide him; least of all Elettra. Yes, he had played such a fool.

She strode forward to meet him, and as he crept closer, the male would allow his tail to sweep through the cool winter air, his muzzle bending as he just barely grazed his nose to her cheek, inhaling her scent sharply. He took a step closer then, running his muzzle along the length of her cheek to rest within the thick fur of her neck, and it was here he sought solace. Borlla. He knew nothing about her, and yet his mind clouded to her now, the heat of the breeding season causing his muscles to tense.

He did not respond to her words right away, though a small chuckle escaped him; senseless. Lost. “Yes,” he agreed, not willing to lie to the she-wolf before him. Borlla did not deserve craft or calculation. “I had thought to court a she-wolf within Willow Ridge, but it seems she has turned to another to scratch a more primal urge,” he murmured, uncertain how she would take such news.

“I wish for nothing more than a home to call my own and a family to be at my side. Cubs to raise – a she-wolf to love.” It was now he pulled back, his eyes searching her own bright tangerine. “I do not think that life will exist.”

The girl seemed to show a dangerous amount of insouciance regarding the matter at hand. He was still so much a stranger to her, and here she was, so close, so pathetically close to exposing her soul right in front of him. But was there a problem with that? Those that claimed to know her best had hurt her, abandoned her. It seemed almost necessary now that she put her trust into a kind stranger and simply hoped for the best. If she got hurt, then it would hurt that much less. At least right now. But...What if? That was always the big question. What if. In her deluded fantasy world, where she hadn't overstepped some boundary along the way, they came to know each other and then he hurt her. What if? That was simply one of a million questions that nagged at her right now, and Borlla wanted nothing more than to ignore them. She was queen of the rash decisions, doing things that made no sense and hurt the masses. She was selfish and awful, but...She acted in a way that she thought was right, even if it was completely unreasonable.

It was the choice that she'd made, and there was no turning back now.

Her lungs held onto her air again as the space between them was finally whisked away and then some. The familiarity he seemed to harbor in his touch made her tighten with caution for a moment, before she relaxed, succumbing to the duty she'd been assigned. Caretaker, perhaps. At the very least a willing ear and a comforter. Her chin tipped down, brushing the top of his head, before drifting to his shoulder, leaning slightly into him. She finally let go of her breath, casting it out slowly through her nose, trying to decide what was best. Suddenly she was the comforter. Not being comforted. Was she doing this right? Did it matter? She was here, this was what she wanted, and perhaps overthinking it would be her demise. The matter was dropped then, and her ears twisted to take in his words.

No sooner had they gone alert that they twisted back and she withdrew slightly. This...Was news. Her golden eyes shifted uncertainly, not looking at him yet. Was she allowed to be disappointed to hear this? Maybe a bit...But she was the stranger here, making assumptions and acting on impulse. And he was being honest. There had to be points for that. He had his own disappointments, and somehow, she felt as though she could relate, though perhaps on a different level. Her eyes rose to meet his again as he went on. Her chest tightened, and though she wished she hadn't looked up again, it was now impossible to look away. His words were no wish thrown to the wind. It was like...he was asking. Or was she putting ideas into her own head again? <b style="color:#32527a">"What if it could?" She said, perhaps a bit foolishly. Just a moment ago, he'd confessed his love for another, and now here she was, essentially offering herself to him. Again, all she could tell herself was that this was what she'd wanted all along! This is the reason she'd run down here. She'd never expected it all to happen so soon, though.

Borlla sucked in a breath, meeting his eyes without fault now. She was bold, she'd always been bold, and so many times before it had been her downfall, her demise. Perhaps once it would work in her favor. <b style="color:#32527a">"What if that life was with me?"

Her reaction to him was almost nervous at first – for a moment, his mind spun to this small insight. Was it his touch that caused her to stiffen so? The words he had departed with her upon their last meeting? He had meant exactly what he had said last time, and yet now, thinking back on, they held a new meaning to him. She relaxed then at his touch – seemingly accepting him and placing forth the desire to listen to a friend in need. Borlla, bewitching with her pale tawny fur that neared so close to a pristine ivory, and the brightness of her eyes that matched his own.

But his words had caused her to shift slightly, and Phineas pulled his muzzle back to regard her gently. Had he hurt her? Did he imagine that she could be hurt by his confession of interest to another woman? He had never considered truly that the she-wolf before him would be taken aback by such, and only then did it stir within him a further attraction to her.

He knew nothing about her. She was a lone wolf that had called Relic Lore home before, and while she seemed haunted by it, Phineas could not tell if such was his mind playing simple tricks. Yet here they stood; her without a home, and he with a home he no longer wished to return to.

But her words were unsuspected, and the ivory male stilled as their eyes met. She offered herself to him – so purely and wholly that he wasn’t sure if he fully understood her meaning. If she even understood it. He swallowed then, feeling the surge of longing course through him and his eyes trailed across her pelt, studying the delicate intricate patterns of her beauty. “Borlla,” he murmured, taking a step closer, his muzzle grazing against hers gently before shifting to course along her nape. His body moved forward then, pressing closer to her as the desire of spring came to him. “Borlla, are you sure?”

She seemed captivated now, in some sort of terrible trance. The young, cocky child that she'd once been was gone, replaced by something driven by loneliness and the desire to be needed, wanted even. So, was it possible that her actions and words were a bit far-fetched? Perhaps. Thankfully enough for Borlla she'd always been driven by emotions rather than truly sitting down to think about her choices, so at this point in time, there was no such thing as a second thought for her. So, was she sure? Of course. Would she ever regret it? Maybe, but right now she was given no reason to regret it. He seemed kind, willing...And his sadness perhaps clouded her vision somewhat. At first she had been taken aback by his admission to loving another, but it wasn't as though she'd ever loved him or even vice versa. At least...That's what she though. Everyone had their secrets and their own past loves. But why not just embrace the now.

It would have taken some strange to wrest her away from him now, an angel on her shoulder telling her to give things time. But there wasn't time. There was right now, and she was taking advantage of it. The important learning process could come after. She shifted, moving with him as he moved past her, her tail swinging behind her, amplifying whatever was certainly starting to drive him mad. She remained in place, her body leaning against his own. <b style="color:#32527a">"Of course," were the magical words. <b style="color:#32527a">"speech."

Her words need not give way to her consent – the flick of her tail that stirred her heat to the air caused the male to intake his breath sharply, his fiery eyes grazing over her features with passion and a plea – to give him the spoken word he so craved.

She complied, and the words she gave seemed to reveal no hesitance to what this would mean for either of them. He moved then, not speaking, his large figure brushing against the pale slenderness of her own. Placing his scent upon her and claiming her as his.

Gentle nips cast out from his muzzle, raining themselves down upon her flesh in heated desire. Forgotten now were his troubles, his thoughts. Right now he lived in the moment, and that moment was Borlla and Borlla alone.

His gaze sought her out as he manoeuvred himself to nestle behind her. As naturally as mother nature intended, Phineas lifted himself then, bracing his paws to her sides. He gave pause, allowing her to speak if her mind was changed, and when he was met with only encouraging silence, the male finally claimed her as his own.

The clouds shifted above, proof that a storm was ever nearing, and yet the male would pay no mind to such a thing.. not until hours later, when he would nudge the slender she-wolf from his embrace. They would find shelter for the day, and from there, they would begin a new life.

She's said the word, and so the deed would be done. Her breath was held as he moved along beside her, her posture still as well. Although, her tail swung willingly to the side, welcoming him, granting him further permission. A sultry laugh bubbled from her, skin prickling from his tempting nips. Any minuscule thought that her decision had been gaumless was instantly cast aside, thrown into the wind. Gone forever. And now she was his and the girl had no complaints. Her head turned slightly, tipping back to glance towards him, awaiting the moment. No complaint came from her lips, and she then bore his weight easily. She was ready.

Clouds began to gather overhead, steadily piling above, though neither party noticed, until it was nearly upon them, and by then the deed had been done. She followed him then, wondering where this new path would lead. <b style="color:#32527a">"speech."
