The northern lights are particularly brilliant tonight.

Lachesis had been missing since the meeting, she planned on speaking to him immediately after, but knew he needed some space. Although she wasn't sure what was gnawing at him, she couldn't deny the fact that she was worried beyond belief for the pear-eyed boy. He needed to sort whatever was ailing him out, and she had to stop seeing him as a fragile creature. He had made it this far, and she was going to have to let him make it a little farther on his own. A pale head drooped toward the ground, only to find her reflection looking back at her from the pool of water alongside the brook. Dandelion eyes stared back at her, along with a blurry picture of herself. Capella couldn't help but stare at herself, what had she become? Why was she constantly plagued by the fog threatening to eat away at her head? Just thinking of what the images that haunted her did to her head made her sick. She was weak, and she knew it. Did the others? Could they see it in the way she faltered whenever a picture would batter the back of her eyelids? The creamy girl did whatever she could to keep the thoughts at bay, but with Lachesis gone she wasn't sure she could.

She sat on her haunches, curling her tail around her body, all while continuing the staring contest she was having with herself. A movement in the inky pool forced her to look upwards, finding a brilliant show, fluttering against the stars. A bit of happiness in the otherwise dreary forest. The brilliant purples curled around greens, twisting together. As if two roads were becoming one, then breaking off again. Was it a sign from the stars? Her mind grew weak, and her thoughts ceased. For the moment everything was about the here and now. Capella was here alone, and the heavens were putting on a show just for her. At least that is how she felt as she watched the colors from the sky play across the Earth around her, even caressing her coat.

@Ill

The second the meeting ended, Ill wandered off on his own. Though he liked his new family, and they surely thought the best of him, the somewhat crowded nature of a pack made him anxious. Well everything made him anxious, but the fear of screwing up, specially in front of shade, could easily be avoided if he did his own thing until someone needed him. He need not wander too far, knowing all too well that his sense of direction was terrible at best. If he lost the rest of the pack, alone, it would be awhile till he found them again if without scent.

Ill traveled quietly along the banks of the dark brook. At night, the blackened water would strike paranoia or even fear into some hearts, but tonight was different; the abyss was relaxing, and the northern lights above guided his way. Staring up, the stars were welcoming; as well as the colors that danced across the sky, seeming to say in a small voice, " It's going to be okay ". The young male wondered what could possibly make these spectral lights. He was not a religious wolf, nor was his parents or anyone around him, but they seemed almost like magic or celestial beings that played in the sky. Peacefulness glowed like hot coals in his mind.

So upbeat, he steadily made his way through the underbrush. He wasn't scared of the surrounding area, his new goal was to find the perfect place to watch the show that was happening above. As Ill traveled, a low hum escaped his lips every so often; slowly the hum grew and words joined along with it. Before he knew it, the ashen wolf quietly sang the sprechgesang-like tune happily to himself. Nothing could kill his mood.

So lost in the show above her, Capella had lost all track of time, and even herself within the splashing colors. They moved and danced for her, twisting and spiraling like waves in the great oceans she had heard stories about. She had to resist the urge to jump up at them in an attempt to catch one in between her jaws, only to pull it down and keep it for herself. The pale fae didn't even notice the scent of her pack mate, or the sprechgesang melody coming from his lips until he was practically standing next to her. Usually fear would have overcome her, but she recognized the aroma as I'll; The obsidian male she promised herself she would get to know. After all he was a part of her little family now.

Dandelion eyes remained glued to the sky, and her face etched in wonder. When she spoke, she did so quietly, as though any loud noises might scare away the lights. "What are they?" Her whisper was carried upon the breeze, off on an adventure of it's own. Her ears orbited atop her head, searching for his answer, and hoping that he had some explanation for the brilliant colors moving through the wind. They were a spectacle she had yet to see in her short life, but maybe these things were restricted to the Lore. Her heart broke a little, as she hoped the rest of her pack mates were watching as well. Wherever Lachesis was, could he see them too? Would the puppies be staring into the sky, filled with as much fascination as her? What about Ana and Shade, were they watching with the cubs, explaining the peculiar phenomenon to them? A sigh escaped her lips, and she was glad for the moment that at least she wasn't alone.

Ill's voice broke; the sprechgesang now demanding higher notes that were too much for his poor vocal cords. The tune bent and twisted, rasping out from between his lips like a hiss. Stopping immediately, Ill felt embarrassed that he had ever attempted such a thing. Singing, really? Shame seemed to lower his head, hopefully no one could hear his mistake but that didn't stop him from feeling sorry for himself. " Why am I stuck in this skin? " he asked himself quietly, out loud. Someone up there, dancing alongside the celestial colors, could of picked any body, any brain to give him and he gave him this. To Ill, he was his least favorite wolf to be around but he was always here.

Now that his little song had stopped, the dreary wolf picked up on the scent of another as well as the voice. It was Capella, she was somewhere up ahead more than likely enjoying the same show in the sky that he did. Ducking down, Ill crawled along the dry undergrowth until ever so slightly, peaking his head out to see the pale femme in the clearing ahead. He wasn't the one for spying, but bothering her seemed like the last thing on his mind. His jaw began to ache for conversation, ever since the fateful day he had met his fellow pack mate, she had haunted his thoughts since then. Ill didn't understand, nor wanted to admit anything too soon.

She continued to watch the night sky as the wind danced around the trees surrounding the clearing, awaiting his reply. Never hearing an answer she chose to rip her eyes away from the light show up above. Capella could only hear silence now, but his scent was still there. Dandelion eyes searched the trees around her while she called out for him. "Ill?" A pause, waiting for him to respond before calling out to him again. She was worried that he turned around and left when he noticed that she was inhabiting this particular spot. The pale fae knew that he had a problem being around crowds, but she was the only one here right now. They didn't even have to talk if he would rather sit and watch in silence. Despair began creeping into her pelt as she wondered if he left her. She found that she had actually been excited to see her new friend, and that his disappearance made her sad.

His scent was still strong though, meaning he was close-by. Maybe he was making his way to her still? Regardless, Capella didn't want to put him on the spot, or make him feel uncomfortable. If Ill chose to watch with her, then he would. Hopefully he had heard her calling out to him, and with that she turned her eyes back to the performance above. A sigh escaped her muzzle, as she hoped she would be joined by her newest pack mate, so long as he wanted to be there.

Ill's body tensed up as a cringed expression greeted his muzzle. What was he doing? Creeping on a fellow pack member because he was too shy to confront face to face? Slowly backing up, the young man retreated out of the bushes to the safety of the trail once more. Just before leaving, he heard the faint call of Capella's voice uttering his name. So she had smelled him. Now he certainly couldn't leave without saying hello, he was sure awkward conversation and little white lies awaited him in the future. Better to man up and face his destiny.

Quietly walking now to the other side of the clearing, Ill hoped he could pass it off like he wasn't watching her like the socially awkward wolf he was. Before stepping in the clearing he made sure not to scare the young femme more than he already guessed he had.

" Capella? It's Ill, " he called. His voice shaky and unsure if that was even her name.
