I really dont know where my head is taking me with this thread, but lets just go with the flowxD who knows, they might turn out to be friends..

EDIT: Dated 9/30/13

Her instincts had been right. This is exactly what she had needed. This trip, full of new adventures. On her way to her ultimate destination, she took time to explore all that she could with the time available to her. It had been fun, relaxing even. She learned many new trails and the names of the places she had not ventured into before.

But those werent the most important thoughts churning through her head. Why did she come here? Of all places. She didn't even know the woman that well, but something drew her here, at this precise moment. Still, she met @Nina once. The woman probably didnt even remember her. They had met many months ago, when Nina was still carrying her pups. Inali wondered how the pups had fared. Making some rough calculations based on the regal woman's size back then, she figured the pups must be about the same age as Nari's pups: 4 months.

The women neared Secret Woodlands borders and began to internally panic. Again. She turned around and walked back. I'm leaving. This is stupid. Preposterous, really, she thought, determined. But after walking a couple meters away, she turned back around and headed to the borders. Why am I doing this?, she reprimanded herself. This pattern continued for a bit. Going back and forth, back and forth, unable to make her mind.

Finally she plopped down a few yards away from the borders. She had made up her mind. For some reason, the Fates wanted her here. She had no choice but to heed their decision. Soon, someone would end up coming along. Whether it would be Nina, some other pack mate, or some loner seeking to join them, she didnt know.

So you tagged me in this and feel really bad...so my replies will probably be short and slow... <3 I hope nobody minds it just being Nina and Inali.

She was still in mourning but she knew that sooner or later, she would have to return to her duties and perform what needed to be done. Every once and awhile there would be many around or she would be with the children and would sneak away for a little while. She knew that Hollow was there with them and she did not wish for herself to fall apart over her remaining children. The way Tacoma had died had been an untimely death. Had she went with him when he had wanted to play maybe she wouldn’t be in this situation right now…maybe she would have been able to catch him before he had fallen on his neck. At the thought of his body, the image popped into her head, causing a small sob to escape her mouth. Immediately she bit down fiercely on her tongue before reeling back and starting towards the borders. She couldn’t stay in the seclusion of her home forever, and it was definitely time for her to continue with her duties.

When she arrived, she froze for a moment, looking upon the woman who was slightly familiar to her pacing upon her borders. Inhaling the scent of the woman, her frozen stature relaxed, having realized that the woman was of Whisper Caverns. Had something horrid happened? At the thought the icy paw that had been clawing at her heart since her firstborn’s death was squeezed once again, pushing her towards the woman that she remembered. "Inali…is there something bothering you?" On instinct the woman lifted her tail high above her back, her head raised high as she looked at the other woman. They had only met once, but she remembered quite well, as she was in an alliance with them.

Unfortunately, her relaxed state didnt stay for too long. Before she knew it, she was pacing again. And that's how Nina found her.

Her neck swiveled so fast in the direction of the woman's voice, she was surprised she didnt hear it crack. "Nina," she voiced, surprised that she was actually there. Even though it really wasnt a surprise, these were her lands after all. Finally her brain aknowledged what the woman had asked. "No, nothing is wrong. Everything is fine actually. Wanna hear a funny story?" Oh gosh, no. This was not happening!

To her mortification, it was actually happening.

The young woman started to pace again. When Inali paced, it meant that she was nervous. Among other emotions. Right now, it was because she was nervous. And when she was nervous, she rambled. More commonly known as the accursed word vomit.

"You see, I dont exactly know why I'm here. It started with me asking Nari permission to go on a little trip. More like a break. Don't get me wrong! I love being a scout and taking care of those 3 little minions. Especially Yuka. I'm so proud of that little tike. Though 'little' isn't the word I would use for them nowadays. Their getting bigger everyday. Have I told you of Malia? Of course I havent. Now she's the real adventerous one! Along with Titan. They sneak off all the time, but I can't stay mad at them. I love 'em too much I guess. Nari's a good mother, knows the fine line between strict and fun. Sloane is a good father too, always finding time to be with the kids. And Minka -"

That was when the woman finally stopped talking to take a much needed breath. Realizing that she finally stopped rambling, she stopped pacing and walked towards a tree. Thumping her head against it, she let out a breath, embarrassed. "I'm glad that I stopped talking before you thought I went completely nuts. By the way, Nari sends her greetings." She didnt want to turn around. She wouldnt be surprised if she had worn a trail because of all her incessant pacing.

The wait was not long before Inali started to speak at a brisk pace, only breathing two or three times between her words. Nina did not interrupt though and simply listened, wondering if something had actually ended up being wrong with the girl, but in the end dismissed the thought. She looked perfectly fine; perhaps she had just wanted to make a trip to her thickets. Though it did warm her heart to hear good things about her best friend’s pack, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of longing to have him by her side once more. They had been together for more than a year and the separation had been especially hard on her now that Koda was gone. She watched as the woman paced back and forth, but after awhile finally came to a stop. Eventually she was done speaking and Nina took the liberty to speak then, her voice calm and steady, "Crazy, you are far from. Others are worse off." Her words were very true. Last year when the God-awful disease had struck them whoever had been infected ended up losing their minds. Luckily, most of the wolves were annihilated.

She felt awkward sending messages through another wolf and did not like for others to be under the burden of her own bad news. Tilting her head, she spoke softly, "When you return home, I need you to get a message to your King. Tell him that Koda has left for memory purposes and that Hollow has risen as the role of alpha." It hurt her heart to have to admit those words, and that they had to be said. The cold iron grip that had been holding her heart for the past several weeks tightened and for a moment it was extremely hard for Nina to breath. Finally, she got the next part out of her system, "And I also need you to tell him that Prince Tacoma…is no longer with us." She bit down hard on her tongue after she said this as to not bring too much of an emotional rise to her. The Secret Woodlands alpha had no reason to mope and sob in front of a wolf that she did not know very well.

I sorry i suck :(

The young woman took a minute to reflect on Nina's words, and wondered what the undercurrent meaning was. She was still not in the Lore when the disease that terrorized many came into the lands. She did not know of it.

Her ears tuned in to what the regal woman was saying, knowing it was important. Nina wanted her to deliver a message to Sloane: bad news and then even worse bad news.

Nina voicing that Prince Tacoma, who Inali assumed was one of the her pups, had died and was no more, hit her like a crushing blow. Sympathy for the mother flooded her being. "Oh Miss Nina, I am so sorry for your loss," Inali voiced. Genuine sympathy and sorrow rang in her words. To lose a son, to lose a child in general, was devastating to any parent. Inali didn't know by personal experience, and she didn't want to know.

"I lost someone very dear to me once," she began. "I know it doesn't compare, since he was your son, and she was my close friend, but grief is grief. It hurt, Miss Nina. It hurt real bad.

I felt like a hole was ripped right through my heart, and I didn't know how it was going to get better. But I'm here to tell you, it does. It may not feel like it now, but it will get better. Just, hang on in there Miss Nina.".

The words had come out unplanned, and the young scout looked down, abashed. "I'm sorry. I have crossed the line, it is not my place to tell you any of this of what I have told you. It was wrong of me to try and meddle into your emotional affairs, and I ask that you forgive me." Inali knew she had overstepped her place. She was not a friend of this woman, barely an acquaintance even. She felt bad, and knew that any punishment that Nina decided to give, would be well deserved.

As the woman of Secret Woodlands spoke, it was easy to see the change in Inali’s facial expressions after each other her bombs were released. It truly was tragic that her dear son had been victim to a tragic fall and when the other woman’s sympathetic voice flooded through her ears she was once again reminded of the first time they had met on her borders. She had been carrying her three children in her womb and one day Inali had hoped that she could see her little ones. Unfortunately, it seemed as if though that would not have happened. It was still possible for the woman to see her other two children though, and possibly Bane.

Nina listened patiently as the woman spoke, telling her what had happened to her. The alpha was touched that the woman was making her feel better, even if it was not her place and as soon as she began to apologize an amused smile twitched at the corners of the woman’s lips. Shaking her head, she flicked her tail to silence the woman, "There is nothing to forgive, my dear. Sloane…is my family…and any family of Sloane’s is family of mine." Her words were true. Sloane had been her best friend for as long as she could remember and Nina did not doubt that Sloane felt the same way about her pack. It was just the way things were. So when she opened her mouth, she knew she was completely confident in the choice she was making. "Would you like to see my two other children?" she asked the question softly but her voice held an edge of pride and strength in it.

The words of forgiveness that followed her uncalled-for statement brought a relieved sigh from her maw. Inali had been prepared for punishment, but was relieved that that was not on the regal's woman mind.

The next words that followed the words of forgiveness brought a smile to her face. She was about to open her maw to speak, but the woman started to speak again, and Inali shut her mouth.

Inali took a breath and let it out slowly. Words of long ago flooded her mind.

"Goodbye my little darlings. Maybe we also will meet again. If yes, I can not wait. If not, then I wish you all the luck and happiness."

She had never dreamed that this moment would come, but the wish she had uttered long ago rang true, even if it had been a spur of the moment thought.

"It would be a great honor Miss Nina. And of your previous words, I speak likewise. Any family or friend of my alphas, is a family and friend of mine." Her tail swished behind her gently, as the woman waited for the Lady of Secret Woodlands to lead her into her territory.

It would be rude of Inali to go ahead of this alpha, especially since they were considered allies, and this was her territory. The Thicket of Secrets was a wondrous place, and seemed like a worthy place of exploration. Maybe after she left Nina's presence, she would take a bit of time to explore the land, and the surrounding area.

@Inali

With the other woman’s words, Nina gave a polite smile and nod in the woman’s direction. She then turned, glancing behind her for a moment and speaking, "Please…watch your step. Thorns are hard to see as the weather gets colder." Back when she had first come to found her pack, Nina had encountered many problems with the thorns in the ground. Her paw pads had been pricked so many times now, that the only time she truly noticed that it had been pricked again was when she caught scent of her own blood. The only good thing that came out of that she did not have to take any herbs for the pain, as she would only feel a dull throb. The worry that infection would set in was a different story though and the wolves of the thickets would always have to worry about such things.

With a wave of her tail, she allowed entrance into her kingdom, her body moving gracefully with an eerie kind of power to her stride. She made her way towards her two remaining children, @Danica and @Ashton . Both of them had been through much for the past few days and Nina wanted to make sure that her darlings were being taken care of. The change in her remaining son had not gone unnoticed and it had sent a scary chill down the woman’s spine when she realized what his face had looked like. What his face had reminded her of. That night when Ash had tried to kill her…that stoned face and how cold he had ended up. It had gripped her head in its iron grip and for a moment Nina had stopped breathing, but then she remembered how Ash had been lied to and Ashton had grown up around the truth. Ashton was not a killer. Danica had also been much quieter recently and the mother held onto the hope that a new face would bring the pups some sort of comfort and something new to be curious about.

Ashton Reinier-Hervok
The boy had said nothing for days straight, he had been stewing over what had happened to Tacoma. It had all been so wrong and now the pup felt that there was very little trust to be had in the pack. Everyone would die, they would all leave one day so why get attached? When deep down all Ashton wanted was to never see another Tacoma. But something in his nature kept him from crying it out, instead he simply fumed over it as if he were angry that Tacoma was dead. In reality it was all hurt, just so much hurt he never wished to feel. Even through the haze he lived in now he could scent his mother and began to move towards her with a stone cold face, as if the world mattered nothing to him. His eyes were dull now, there was no more youthful spark of life. He himself felt as though his very soul had been torn apart.

His head dipped towards Nina and Inali in more of a formal way than what should have been between mother and son. He lowered his hindquarters and looked at the two with a face that Ash would have been proud of, his ability to mimic his uncles features was uncanny and yet here he was pulling the coldest face a wolf so young as he ever had. But he spoke not now and waited instead for Nina or whom he perceived as a stranger to speak. It was as if he were Nina's subordinate now, and no longer her son, even though in his heart of hearts, he still loved her dearly.
