Sorry I took forever guys. Internet issues :/

He had long since finished filling his belly, and was now sitting on his haunches, watching the proceedings in front of him. He didn't bother to mask his curipusity as he looked from Sage to Iopah. Had they met before? But then one of the males mentioned a name that immediately ripped his attention away from the two women. Had he said Danica? Before he could question him further, Koda beat him to the punch. But unfortunately the man had no useful information for him - for example, Danica's whereabouts. His blue orbs followed the stranger until he dissapeared from his line of sight.

His attention returned once again to what was happening before him. It seemed that the fun was now over. Bowing his head to the elk carcass in front of him, he opened his jaws to rip off as much neat as he could carry in one go. With a silent look to his pack mate, he instructed @Koda that he should do the same. In spite of Danica's dissapearance, they still had two more pups to care for. Not to mention the rest of their family. Lifting his head, he nodded his thanks to the wolves that helped them take down the elk. "Lets go," he found himself rumbling in his deep baritone. Lowering his head, he opened his maw to grasp all the meat he had ripped off. With a firm grasp on the food hanging from his jaws, he turned around. Expecting his family to do the same, he began to walk in the direction of the Woodlands. Miccah wanted to get home as soon as possible. As soon as they reached the pack, the faster they all could share their prize with the rest of the family that was no doubt half starving.

Iopah. Sagacity received the name and gave the woman one more nod, before she looked to her packmates. The opportunity was open, now, for Karpos to scavenge what he could from the remains. Evann had eaten her fill and was pulling off some to take back home, and Karpos had ventured to the corpse, but still looked apprehensive. So he hadn't aided a great deal in the hunt- if he ate now and brought meat back with him, he'd be helping the pack out. Eventually he'd grow into a big, strong wolf, and if he starved this winter he'd have no way to repay them or contribute to the pack. When his eyes lifted to hers her expression remained stoic. She had a sense that with the longing and sadness in his eyes, he didn't simply regret not being able to help much with the hunt. But she didn't want to address the other look in his eyes.

Instead, she gave him a command. "Bring back whatever you can carry; we need to feed our packmates." She said. "If there is some left over...Scavengers will eat." She said, her words becoming somewhat brittle. Maybe Aponi and Mercy would find it- but the health of their pack came first. They couldn't purposefully leave meat out in the open, simply hoping that two wolves out of the entire world would find it, eat and come home. So they would need to take whatever they could. Having given everything she felt she needed to say, she got a firmer hold on the elk's hefty hind leg and began to drag it back to Hollowheart Keep, so their other family members could benefit from it.

Iopah Reinier
She wanted to be anywhere but here, waiting awkwardly for Gent to say something... what? What kind of response was she expecting? An accusation, consolation? She didn't want either from the pale-eyed man. There were no words that could ease her mind. He said nothing, which was perfect as far as Iopah was concerned. But still she couldn't look back, even as he silently padded away. Koda spoke up.

Iopah knew she would be the one to explain everything because Gent was nearly out of sight now. She had forgotten Koda would be able to overhear the conversation and his sharp interest cut deep into her guilt. She had allowed Danica to slip away and now was utterly incapable of finding her again.

She glanced resentfully at the remaining Keep wolves. Karpos and Evann were lingering at the elk. As her frustration with herself grew so did her intolerance of them. Sagacity had left, and Iopah sensed she was the dominant of the group. The name was tucked away, later she would consider the gray woman. With Sage's leaving there was no reason to stay. With a significant look to @Koda she turned smoothly and reclaimed the haunch.

On the way she told him. Stopping occasionally to rest, the meat was heavy and difficult to speak around. She explained how she and Hollow had found them talking. How the adults had hunted for deer that afternoon. Eventually though, she ran out of details to offer, and she fell silent again. Soon, they would be home and Iopah would be free to continue her search.

Wolves started to leave while the sable girl gnawed at the leg, taking smaller or larger chunks of the kill with them. First, Gent took back his gift and began stalking off, lightly dismissing an approach from the large, light pelted male; it appeared the pale lady had given some information that made Evann's dark pack mate retract his offer, though she wasn't paying close attention to the others' interactions, so she wasn't sure what. Next, the black stranger took his leave, instructing his pack mates to follow, and soon after, the female did. Sagacity to was departing, ordering Karpos to help bring back food for the rest of the pack before starting to drag her severed limb towards Hollowheart Keep.

Meanwhile, Evann had finished her nibbling, safely detaching the leg. She straightened up, looking around at the remaining wolves, lazy interest in her chocolate eyes; I wonder where their home is... She thought as her gaze rested on the cream colored male. A yawn interrupted her thoughts, and while she stretched her bloody jowls, she decided to investigate this, later. She was tired from the hunt, and heavy from filling her stomach with the sweet meat, and there was still the task of dragging the meaty leg home to look forward to; When spring comes... The appearance of this elk, and their successful slaying of it, had returned hope in the brown lass that spring would come. And hopefully soon.

After stretching her back thoroughly, she turned to @Karpos, giving him a friendly tab on the rump with her paw; "Come, le... l-let's get g-going." She nodded her head in direction of the trees here Sagacity had disappeared. Then she bowed back down to get a firm grip on her leg, and started dragging it home to The Keep.

Within do time the remaining members took their turn leaving the area; taking what they could back with them. He watched them in silence, having grown much too concerned over the whereabouts of his daughter than those who had helped to bring down the kill. He knew that this was a moment worth celebrating about, food had been scarce all winter, but his attention fell the safety of his children, and why this male knew her having been from a different pack. He licked his lips while simultaneously lowering his round ears, the taste of meat disappeared from his mouth as he waited for Gent to respond to his question.

He hadn't caught word of where his daughter had disappeared to and found himself wondering if the male knew of the whereabouts of his son; it bothered him not knowing where they were. He hadn't spoken to Nina much since his return, only sparse formal greetings that would often times seem forced, otherwise he had taken his time avoiding her and the situation that had come since his arrival. It seemed that suddenly he'd been thrown out of the loop of everything.

When Gent did not speak, having instead nodded in the direction of Iopah as if to say "ask her" his lip lifted with discontent over the insensitivity of the subject and turned toward his pack mate. If she knew something, he would hope that she would spill the information before his irritation over the secrecy grew on him--it was wise instead that she discussed the information on their way home. Having grown too worried over his child, and knowing that both of his pups were seemingly missing, he had forgot to bring something back for the rest of the pack. He figured it would serve them right, having ignored their call for the others to join in on the hunt, now they would starve. When their walk neared the border of the Woodlands he slowed down and turned the opposite direction of the others; with a full stomach he was ready to search for the loved ones he'd lost.
