Kova Lagina
Anyone and everyone is welcome!

Kova Lagina
memoria et lux

Propping his head up on the stone beside the entrance of the den Kova sighed deeply. He was extremely bored. The sunlight called to him, made his paws ache to be outside where the green plants and new adventures awaited him. With a loud whine-like yawn, Kova gazed outside of the den wide eyed at a creature hopping along the ground. It had thin legs and what looked like a furry body. Though the child did not understand the differences between feathers and fur yet. He did know that the creature was a bird. He watched with a playful grin as the bird took no notice of him and hopped closer to the den's entrance. Then the robin dipped its head and plucked a long earthworm out of the ground. Cocking his head as he watched the bird, the Lagina wolf pup felt a hunger stirring in his belly as the bird ate its worm. When would mom be back with the food?

He was still drinking milk, and would be until the pup was three months old and weaning started. With only a litter of two, Minka had plenty of milk to share between her two hungry pups. As it was, both Kova and Noble were growing very quickly. Some might even say that they were growing soft and fat off their mothers milk.

As the bird flew off Kova bounded after it outside of the den. He stopped when the bird quickly flew out of sight then looked back to the den's entrance. Kova knew by now that he was supposed to stay there, but there shouldn't be anything wrong with taking a step out? He would be in seeing distance of the den. With a giggle Kova turned to look over at Tokino who slept hidden in a bush about ten or so feet away. He was deep in sleep and likely wouldn't wake even if Kova bothered him. His father was never around at night or early in the morning. It made the pup wonder where he went all the time. Unbeknownst to Kova, Tokino had long patrols around the border at night and hunted for prey to feed himself in the early morning.

So instead Kova looked for someone else to play with. Really he didn't care who it was. Just as long as they would be willing to have fun with him.

I've been dying for a Kova thread! <3

Speech.

Things had been quiet, peaceful. Things that brought the young fae happiness, for the Fates had recently given her too much drama than she could ever deal with, and it was good to just feel peace. The drama within her old pack, Whisper Caverns, her confrontation with Yuka, the struggle of trying to figure out what exactly Naia and her meant to eachother. Everything was falling into place, finally, and it felt good. She had recently been scouting close to home, trying to put the lands that she now called home to memory. She was determined to etch every inch of ino her mind, for what scout was she if she knew well the surrounding lands but not even her own? So the days had passed, and it was on one such scouting adventure that she found herself near the pack den. As her small form grew close, she could see Tokino's figure a little ways away, knocked out cold. Usually the sight would've made her chuckle, but now it only brought her worry. Tokino wasn't growing any younger, and she had seen how tired he was at times. Maybe he was pushing himself too hard. Inali was worried about her alpha, who not only was her King, but a good friend. A father figure. He had become a constant in her life, and was scared of what would happen when Tokino's last day came near.

The petite woman shuddered at the thought, but a giggle thankfully brought her out of hdr thoughts. A furry form appeared in her view, and a smile immediately appeared on her muzzle. It was Tokino and Minka's child, Kova. Moving quickly but silently to not wake the old geezer up, she bounded towards the child. "Hello little one," she spoke softly but with a playful tone in her voice. It had been a long time since she had interacted with a child and an excited gleam shined in her icy gaze.

Had to check puppy development guide for this + the fact that he learns faster than most

Kova swung his head around as the smell and sight of an adult encroached on his senses. The young pup recognized the smell of his mother and fathers subordinate and knew that she wasn't a threat. However he couldn't for the life of him remember her name. Looking up at her sweet smile and soft features Kova cocked his head ot the side trying to remember what his mother and father called her when she visited the den.

Hi Inali. He yipped the greeting while his tail began to wag happily. If no one else wanted to play maybe she would? Or maybe she would take him out for a walk! That was even better than a silly game. Turning his still blue gaze back to the bushes and the late morning sky. Unlike his sister, who's eyes were now a muddy blue just starting to change to her adult eye color, Kova's eyes were deepening in the rich ocean blue color.

Can we go out for a walk? He switched his gaze back to Inali, a pleading look trapped within their curious depths. He knew it was a small chance that Inali would take him out. Mostly because the only wolfs who had taken Kova and Noble out had been Minka and Tokino. Inali would likely have to ask for permission to take him out. Then again Kova wasn't so sure of that, hence the reason he was asking in the first place.

Speech.

Inali watched as the gray boy tilted his head to the side, in what looked like confusion. Did he not remember her? She had popped in often enough in the den for him to recognize her, but she had to remmeber it was a pup and so she didnt take it personally. But then he yipped out a greeting, his tail wagging in delight and she couldn't help but have her spirits lifted. Smiling, she was about to ask what he wished to do when before the words were even out of her mouth he answered her question. Now it was her turn to be silent. She glanced at Tokino's snoring form before looking back down at the pup. "I dont know...," she trailed off, glancing at Tokino's sleeping form once again. The only ones that had taken the pups out for a walk had been Minka and Tokino. Would they be angry?

She was silent for a few moments, torn with indecision. Sighing, a sudden smile graced her features. "I guess a short walk wouldn't hurt anybody. We'll probably be back even before your father wakes up anyway." Praying to all the gods, whether she believed in them or not, she fervently prayed she hoped she was right. Because Tokino angry was downright scary, though she'd never admit it to the old geezer. But let's get one thing straight. Stay near me at all times, so I can see you." Glancing again at Tokino's sleeping form, she looked back at Kova. "Come little one, before your father decides to wake up and ruin our fun." She chuckled, a bounce in her step as she began to turn. Eyeing to make sure the boy was near, she thought of her best course of action. She didnt intend to leave the territory, just head to the farthest of it. Hopefully the boy hadn't seen it all and he could still satisfy his craving for a walk.

He kept up his sweet begging face while pawing at the air between Inali and himself. Every time she glanced around to look at Tokino as he slept Kova would edge himself a little closer to her then look up with that begging face when she looked back at him. Then she smiled at him and Kova knew that he had won her over.

Yes, a short walk... Pappa won't know we're gone He spoke in a hushed voice loud enough for Inali to hear then wiggled in anticipation. He nodded as she talked about some rule to stay near where she can always see him. Then rubbed himself against her chest and front legs while his little tail wagged happily. Kova was excited to be going out again, and this time with Inali instead of his momma or pappa.

Looking up to the older she wolf while she chuckled, Kova nodded excitedly and watched her begin to turn and walk away. The silver boy's paws skittered over the earth and leaves as he pushed himself forward to stay with Inali as they walked out of the clearing. He whined almost in a singsong tune as Kova looked back to see how far away from his sleeping father they had gotten. Knowing that there wasn't much that would wake Kino anyway, young Kova still made doubly sure that they didn't make noise until they were far enough away. Then he looked around; his puppy blue eyes landing lastly upon Inali's form.

What's your job? The question was innocent enough. Kova had heard from his parents what jobs were. That hunting was a job (though he didn't know what hunting was), and that guarding was a job. Guarding he did know. It was what his father did whenever mother wasn't at the den. How Kino kept things away from Noble and he that would hurt them. Now he was curious as to what Inali's job was.
