Blair

Pale blue eyes fluttered open, taking in the fae's new surroundings. It had been one year ago that Blair had spoken to any being, or eaten amongst another, let alone eaten a proper meal. Smirched, white fur revealed indentations between ribs that once were concealed. It was a miracle this she-wolf was still alive, but somehow, she managed.'Get up.' Thin legs lifted Blair, stuck for only a few moments before she clambered from the small den in which she had slept for the past few weeks, letting the soft sunlight envelop her, though only in the few strands that filtered through the cedar.

An ear flickered once at whispers belonging to the trees above, as if mocking her very presence. Blair shook out her white fur, freeing it from as much dust that she could, and padded off into the woods, heading East to a nearby stream she passed awhile back where she may be able to clean the strands of fur that had become brown. After all, if Blair were to find a family of her own, she must present herself in the most elegant way possible, and she couldn't claim to be elegant if she looked like a rag doll. Even if her ribs were showing slightly, her pelt must be clean. Though, she planned on gaining weight before entering any unknown territory in case a fight were to go down.

White paws hit the dirt in a timely manner, matching with the thumping of her heart. An odd melody only she could hear. Periwinkle orbs locked ahead, to see what was to come, as she danced between large trees. Determined.'Faster.' her mind coached once more, as the she-wolf took off, pushing herself into adrenaline, the fuel that kept her going. Though silent, Blair's mind wandered. She only had one last chance to make things right. Could she survive here?

With that thought, Blair's mind trailed off onto all of the possibilities of death, slowing her pace all the while until finally she stood in the midst of the forest, eyes staring blankly into the darkness, unknowing of anything, or anyone around.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
hope you don't mind me jumping in! :)
With the disappearance of Hati, the one-eyed mute that Lachesis had tended to many months ago, the slender ghost had been given the rank of second alongside his the role of the pack’s Medic. Since confessing their feelings to each other at the falls, after Capella had nearly lost her life, things had been gradually getting better for the lanky boy. Although he still grieved the loss of Anastasia, XIX knew that he needed to push forward; if he remained consumed by his grief he would only spiral downward, and would never be able to climb his way back up into the light. XIX would forever cherish her memory, but he needed to do what was best for him, and the pack. He was useless as both the second and medic if he continued to push away his pack members and isolate himself.

As the pack’s official medic Lachesis was becoming more diligent on collecting herbs for his inventory. Luckily there had been no accidents since the birth of his leaders’ children, but he wanted to remain prepared. By searching for plants he was also able to keep an eye on the pack’s borders, which seemed alarming quiet as summer arrived in Relic Lore. Since the arrival of Karpos and Adsila there had been an absence of new blood in the pack; he worried that the lack of members would make Cut Rock a target to rival packs.

XIX prowled through the forest, his slender maw pointed to the ground as he snuffed out plants for his stock. His willowy figure moved effortlessly through the trees he had come to know so well; while strangers were able to lurk the depths of the forest, Lachesis still considered the territory adjacent to the dens of Cut Rock River to be his home. He had spent countless nights roaming the forest in an attempt to clear his mind; it was a place of comfort, a place where he could re-collect his thoughts.

However, his thoughts were disturbed as the scent of another – a stranger – had reached his nostrils. He stopped immediately, his head turning in the direction of the loner as his hackles rose subconsciously. Her scent carried no immediate threat, but he was still wary – just because she didn’t smell of a pack did not mean she didn’t carry a bitter tongue and a nasty personality. Curious, he changed his direction to cross her path, his long legs carrying him quickly to her destination. As the pale female came into view he called out to her, his voice breaking the silence that engulfed the trees: “You lost?”

Blair

Would the suffering from her long journey finally end?

A sudden movement caused the fae to shake slightly. Blair's ears flickered at the sound of a masculine voice carrying through the wind. The she-wolf turned her head, gaze resting on a white figure standing at least a yard away, clearly seen between two trees. She had been watched. Blair quickly made note to stay more hidden, perhaps this situation could prove to be hostile.

Blair thought for a moment at the brute's question, 'Am I lost?' she wondered before letting out a reply, her soft, feminine voice ringing through the trees."Ehm.." she paused for a moment, unsure of what to say, the she-wolf switched her weight to one side and began once more, "Actually.. I am. Sort of. You see, it's quite a long story... To make it short, I'm not really from here."

White paws slowly carried Blair closer to the brute. Was she in pack territory? She mustn't be... After all, Blair had spent so much time pointing out scent markers, though she very well could have been wrong. Pale blue orbs matched with vibrant green ones as she presented herself before what could likely be an Alpha of a pack who lived nearby. In this case, Blair would regret her appearance later, for it may have impact on how she gets treated. Permanently. Whatever the circumstance, she decided to do the best of her abilities, and at least look confident. What else was there to do?

" Oh... I almost forgot. I am Blair, and you are?" Blair smiled shyly, glancing to the ground for a brief second before returning her gaze. It was always quite nerve- wracking meeting a wolf, especially a handsome one such as he. At that moment, her stomach churned, butterflies in a flurry with nervousness. ' Great.' Though the she-wolf stood in a poised manner, waiting for a reply from the ivory brute who appeared out of nowhere in the forest. A wolf who shared a similar coat to hers, and who hopefully wanted no trouble. Blair wasn't fit for a fight, at least, not now. A frail frame such as hers would easily diminish leaving her for vultures, or other hungry scavengers of the land. Not a picture she'd like to put herself in. To be devoured, carcass left amongst the brown trunks of the forest, helpless, gone. No more. Blair shuttered finally, wiping away the dark thoughts, though she had hoped this male didn't notice. He might see her as even more odd than she already presented herself as, which might lead to thoughts of disease. One thing the fae was sure she didn't have....yet.

Lachesis "XIX" Stark
sorry for the wait! :)
The slender medic observed the loner through narrowed eyes as his lips tightened; he was wary around strangers. Appearances were often deceiving, and this timid looking female could flip without warning. Her voice called out in response to his question, her words equally as timid as her looks. Although she did not scream ‘threat’ Lachesis’ legs still stiffened when the female stepped closer to him, closing the distance that he had purposely put between them. However, the young male remained where he was and stood a bit taller instead of backing away like his former self would have. His chin raised instinctively as he observed her, his pale, pear-coloured eyes drinking in her slender, pale physique. Her coat reminded him of Anastasia, but the thought quickly disappeared – he needed to remain focused. This was a stranger, who was uncomfortably close to the Cut Rock border (and the puppies).

“Why so far away from home?” He asked in response to her first bushel of words, although he wasn’t really interested. ‘Chit chat’ could remain at a minimum and then he could either see if this female sought membership within Cut Rock, or guide her away from pack territory. Her posture was all wrong, and Lachesis hoped that if she was seeking refuge within his pack that she would reconsider her appearance when speaking with Maksim or Kisla. While he considered the pair his friends, they were wolves that were not to be reckoned with – he respected them, but he also feared them because he knew what both were capable of. Getting on their bad side, especially as their second, was not something XIX was keen on.

Blair. He mentally repeated the word and stored it away for future reference. “Nineteen,” he responded quickly without a second-thought; although he was Lachesis to his packmates, the double-named wolf often introduced himself with the name he had received from the two-legs. It was a force of habit, as the medic did not trust strangers; he felt as though they didn’t need to know his given name unless they were his packmate, or ended up being his friend.
