Winter had settled in easily over the lands, though for today the sun was clear in the sky. Maybe she should have reconsidered her decision to leave her birth pack in this season. The easy warmth of Spring would have been preferable over this. But as Neha trotted through the thick woods, she had not a single worry. The female was young and capable. She would be an asset to any pack, and it boosted her chances of getting accepted into one. The chance that she would be a lone wolf for more than a few months was very slim indeed, and not only that, once she had a goal such as this in mind, she was determined not to fail.
Luck appeared by her side quickly, it seemed, as the more she progressed, the stronger the smell of a nearby pack had gotten. Her tail wagged behind her lazily, pleased by the development. She picked up the pace, inhaling the cold air gathering around her more deeply. It would be no good at all to trespass, her parents and instincts taught her that much. As such, she made herself very aware of how close she was to the territory ahead. Neha had to muse about what the place had to offer. As she was new to the area, she couldn't speak on how abundant prey was. The female had been on her own for only a short time, and though somewhat of a natural, learning to hunt from her birth pack, she was still fairly inexperienced.
To her, when she thought back to all her memories, she would already say she'd grown quite a lot. But there was still room for much more, despite her straight-forward self thinking otherwise. Realizing with a gentle start that she was only a few steps from crossing the borders of the pack she had found, Neha came to a stop, gazing quietly into the, for now, forbidden area. If everything went good, she would be welcomed. Time to find out what fate had in store for her. Neha moved her head back, letting out a friendly howl for the pack wolves nearby to hear.
