Inali had wasted no time in doing what her alpha had instructed her to. As Minka had suggested, she took a couple days of rest when they came from their search mission, but no more than that for she wanted to set off as quickly as possible. The sooner she arrived on her lover's pack lands, the sooner this mission could begin. It was wise of her queen to think to ask Maksim if he could spare a scout. Two quick forms could cover much more land than one lone scout. The blue eyed lady could only pray that the kind River alpha would agree and spare his second. It seemed a long time ago that they had taken refuge in his lands after leaving Whisper Caverns. She had briefly seen him, but had never approached since that day. Naia spoke of him highly, so she could only assume he was a good man. She was eager to meet these leaders that her honey eyed lover cared so deeply for. Buisness came first though, before pleasure. It took two days travel to reach the outskirts Cut Rock lands in Cedarwood forest. Usually Inali liked to take detours on her scouting missions, exploring areas she never had before. But this was a very important task, and had to be made with haste. She would not dissapoint Minka and Tokino. She was determined to bring good news home. Her hopes were renewed, knowing there was a high chance that the pups were alive. She just had to find them. Or at least, more evidence. Beig careful to be a few feet away from their borders, the scout lifted her muzzle and politely requested for the River leaders presence. ”Speech”

This thread takes place before Mink.a informs the River about war with SW. We really just need a leader to pop in and okay Naia going off to help search for the missing BTD pup.

When the River scout heard Inali’s voice weaving delicately through the wind, she at first thought it was simply a product of her imagination. Naia often heard Inali’s whisper on the wind or saw her graceful frame moving through trees at the edge of her vision, likely because she was just so desperate to see her Downs lover. Mating season was not helping matters at all.. every time she scouted the Cedars she found the entwining scents of furtive lovers hanging over the forest’s more secretive spots. It seemed love was in the air in Cut Rock River, and Naia was the only one left out. Of course, her packmates’ secrets were safe with her—she knew how compelling love could be-- but she did hope the covert River couples were careful not to conceive during their trysts. Naia thought that new life should always be a happy occasion, but so often it was the reason good packwolves were cast from their homes. At least that was one fate Naia and @Inali would never face

When Inali’s voice rose once again, Naia knew it was no hallucination. Her feet flew in the direction of her lover’s call, paying little attention to the fact that the howl had actually been requesting Kisla or Maksim.  If Inali wished to speak to a River leader so be it, but she would have to greet her River love first. Her alphas were quick, but none could even compare to Naia’s speed when it was only distance that lay between her and her obviously worried lover. The scout did not slow when Inali came into sight, and she only halted as she fell into the Downs woman’s embrace, neck wrapping protectively around that of her beloved. “What is it? What’s happened?” Naia questioned, her voice a whine as she pulled away to gaze into Inali’s azure eyes. She who knew Inali’s voice better than anyone knew that there was a problem the moment she’d heard the howl.

A call beckoned the River leaders to their door, and without hesitation, the honeyed female answered this request. Her paws were swift as she moved. It was not a voice she recognized, and with that came hesitation.. for the news they had received as of late had not been good, and the Cavern's wolves remained to be a nuisance.

Naia had made it to the stranger before her, and as Kisla came upon them both, her figure lifted in the height of natural dominance. Her eyes regarded Naia gently, before sharpening upon their visitor. She recognized the scent of Black Thorn Downs, for they lingered upon their borders every so often. The Baranski woman knew very little of the pack, but their relationship was of utmost importance to the River, and so she gave a small nod in welcome. "State your name and business," she queried then -- the words were quick to the point, but her tone was in no means cold. Moving forward, she did not question the how close Naia stood to the she-wolf, determining them to be friends only, given how many times the Scout had run errands between the two packs.

Uncertain if her mate would make an appearance, Kisla was instead set on awaiting the news or message -- Maksim dealt primarily with the wolves from the Downs, but she would only have their best interest in her heart -- especially given that they had the ability to aide the River wolves, should it ever be needed.
