It had been a solid week since her sanction from Willow Ridge and honestly the Ashrelle woman hadn't felt so free. Of course this was the wanderlust speaking, but it felt good to give her limbs a proper stretch nonetheless. No hard feelings were exchanged and now no more borders to keep her locked away from the outside world that begged the patchwork she-wolf to explore it. There was so much in the lore left to see and this was part of the reason she had decided to depart from the whip like branches of the willows. Aside from the brewing storm Enoki had sensed approaching on the horizon. Something big was going to happen and she didn't know if she wanted to stick around to find out just exactly what that something was going to be. In truth she should have brought up her worries to either of the reigning wolves yet she didn't feel like it was her place to question the suspicious activities of the dark queens brood.
Promenading through the freezing fog that had descended upon the Sacred Grove minuscule water droplets clung to the tips of her mismatched fur like tiny jewels sparkling in the fading light of setting sun. Evening was coming to an end in the encroaching presence of the night and the weather was coinciding. Spring was a good week away still, but that didn't stop the winter from holding onto the earth with a fierce grip. The snow was losing the battle remaining in small patches where it broke through the canopy of leaves above, but that didn't stop the temperature from winning each night. Once the fiery sun was beneath the line of the horizon the moon brought with it the sheer cold of a dead of winter night. Tonight it felt like it was going to be warmer than others, barely hovering above the point of freezing yet that didn't stop the frigid air from seeping deep into ones bones.
Roaming deeper into the thinning coppice of trees her medium built frame came to a halt, bringing one of her paws up to her jowls to remove a twig that had jabbed at her tender pads and ended up snagged between the webbing of her toes. Spitting it out the pink of her tongue gave a quick lap to the minor wound, placing her paw back to the ground. Lowering her haunches down to touch the cool soil she figured this would be a good enough time as any to rest for a bit. No use exhausting herself when she didn't even know exactly where it was she was going. There was no time restraint. Enoki was free to go and do as she please now.
