Namid Vuesain
For @Phineas, @Aesire , and any other SMP wolves!

Namid casually made her way across Lost Lake, a trek she felt she’d made quite a few times already. She’d been just about everywhere these past few weeks, all over her territory and around the giant lake that they resided next to. While she needed to stake claims and monitor Fallen Tree Cove, they couldn’t gather all their prey just from within that. Especially not with winter still clinging her icy tendrils to the landscape. Though her younger sister, Spring, had begun to make an appearance in the land. The sun beat down with a warmer glow, beginning a melt that left mud everywhere and rose the Lake’s levels. She made a mental note to talk to Vespertio about the prospect of flooding and what they would do in the case, for if there ever was a time for the incident it would be soon.

Her trek today was for the main reason of a meeting. On the wind, she’d noticed the scent of another pack carried in tendrils that had caught her attention. With her brief explorations, she’d found their borders strikingly close to theirs but had made sure to keep well away from the boundary to not arouse suspicion. She had no clue how long they had been there, though she could deduce a while due to the strong and well-kept markers. With her new position in mind, she thought that a meeting with their neighbors was in order to allow a bit of knowledge to pass between the grape-vine. With them being in such close proximity to each other, it would do well to make sure they kept on good terms.

As she closed in on the borders, she allowed herself close enough to be seen but far enough to assure them she was no threat. Tilting her silver cranium back, she let lose a plaintive howl calling for their leaders and any who might join them.

Tannis Andreas

With the scent of 'pregnant' women wafting about here and there on Plateau grounds, no one could blame Tannis Andreas for continuing on his daily ritual of walking somewhat aimlessly along his superiors' borders. Breeding season and the start of spring had no effect on him - he had not endured the lust or what some called a sort of 'gravitational pull' towards his soul mate. No. For roughly a whole four weeks, the waning and waxing of a full moon cycle, the agouti man had made himself scarce. No one really - perhaps aside from Heigen or anyone else who had a mind to keep tabs on his whereabouts - had seen much of him for more than a few mere moments in passing. Truth be told, Tannis had pretty much likened himself to an ostrich with his head firmly planted in a hole underground. He wanted absolutely nothing to do with the birds and the bees, extending his bloodline, or being all lovey-dovey at all. He believed that if he attached himself to another for the sake of affection, he would have to share his "burden" of being a refugee from his own family. Sick was the man who dared to thrust even that on a love-blinded woman then, soon after, their unborn children.

The brute was trying to rub the whole of his throat and chest against a sizable boulder when a rather melancholy sound flit through the air. A song of mourning perhaps or one that was attempting to trick the wolves of the Plateau into some sort of gimmick. Tannis was not that cunning to draw conclusions to the latter notion, though, if anything, he was rather glad that he would be the first to catch sight of the mottled woman as he descended the rocky heights and pretty much rolled down the gentle-sloped foothills. He had only looked down upon this part of the mountain before; to be here, standing before a curious-looking woman was a first.

His stance was shaky at first as he regarded her, straightening his limbs as he stood up tall for the first time in months. Should @Phineas or the other leading woman come around, however, it was absolutely certain that he would fold again, judging by the angles of his knobby elbows and just how close his heels were to the ground.

"Yes?" a singular word flit from him with the clearing of his throat. His tone was barely demanding, but while it did not seem as eager or nosy as it probably should have been, it was followed by a patient- and courteous-sounding "What is it?"

Namid Vuesain
@Phineas @Aesire  feel free to join whenever!

Namid was joined quickly by a rather unremarkable man, one just taller than her and of typical tawny markings with pale yellow eyes. Something about the way he moved reminded her of a wolf she knew, one in her pack. What was her name again…Namid pondered for a moment before it came to her. Samhain, ah yes. She had been quite an interesting character to meet, as she had been the first female in their small pack to make themselves known to her. What she thought had been intended to be a show of dominance to Namid had turned into the female acting as a fainting goat, quite literally falling over as if in shock. Namid had moved up to in the rankings then, paving her way into second and ultimately into her leadership. Looking at the male now and the look of discomfort at the try at a mildly dominant display, she could see a faint mimic of the older woman.

The pale queen kept her posture neutral, a friendly smile moving onto her maw as he moved toward her. A greeting was surpassed she noted, getting straight down to business. Perhaps this was not quite the friendly pack, but no matter. This was quite obviously not their leader, but even a conversation with him could lead to him relaying information to his superiors.

A regal dip of her head was given to the agouti male, “Hello, my name is Namid Macieo. I am the lead female of the neighboring pack, perhaps I could meet with your leaders or you would be willing to relay some information to them and I will be on my way.” She replied.
